Library seems clean and nice, but tried to get a library card to take some LinkedIn online courses (like they state on their website) and the man at the counter said that "they didn't do that and that their website was outdated" and sent me to the Winter Haven library instead, and said that if that library couldn't give me a card then "we would go from there"...Like he denied me a library card because I didn't want it to check out books with? Meanwhile, the Winter Haven library was more than helpful and gave me a FREE card in minutes. What are my taxes paying for if I can't even get a library card to better myself?

My kids and I love our library, they have a great kids selection and if there's something you're looking for and they don't have it you can have one from another polk branch deliver it to them. They have great activities for all ages of kids/teens and the staff that works there is very nice and helpful.

My wife, Ann, had asked John at the library desk if they had any books about learning how to play the piano. John ordered several books for her from another Library as they didn't have any books in Haines City. This was last week and just this week she received a package for several books from Lake Wales. And just today she received another book in the mail from Lakeland. Librarian John did an awesome job and made Ann extremely happy. He/they deserve an A+.

@Andrea Latuch 😊 nobody needs a library card in order to use the computers at the Haines City library or any other local Florida library. just go to the library desk and ask one of the wonderful librarians for temporary computer username and password. Will give you a little slip of paper and you get I think 30 minutes sometimes I think it's an hour I'm not sure because I have a card and it's always an hour. When you're using the computer if no one else has requested to use it and is waiting on line then if pop-up window pops up and it asks you if you want another 10 minutes and it'll keep doing that. please be aware that the computers shut down about 30 minutes before the library shuts down so you want to make sure you get there in time to do whatever work is necessary. Very important information though just so you know, all of the libraries in Central Florida that I have been to have their computers ALL STUCK on WINDOWS 7 Operating System...with ZERO UPDATES...SO VERY OUTDATED.

They open at 10AM Mon thru Sat. Most nights close at 6PM. A few nights 7PM. Not sure exactly which.
