My first time visiting a patient here. The staff was asking me medical information that should be in the system. The last time she had treatment, her DOB, etc. when the nurse came there were no supplies in the room and they had to literally hunt around the facilities for supplies. There were a couple of good nurses but I have serious reservations about the staff, the care they provide and their abilities. The patient care is almost non existent.

If you see one star on a review believe it. Boca has a few good nurses employed there, some should not be nurses. Even talking to the director does not help, he told me himself that I would be added to the list to get information for my loved one but weeks later it still has not happened. I tried to call on Saturday, I was told by the nurse that she had just gotten there and had not seen anyone yet, ok I said I would call back. No problem. When I called back, she is on her med pass can you call back, yes no problem. I called back and was told that the nurse had stepped out call back. Called back, there was an emergency she was busy. Finally I gave up. I do not think there was a nurse there. Sunday the same thing, no nurse available. No nurse there I bet. This place needs to take some money from all the places they own, pay their workers a decent wage and improve this property. These are people, they need care! I have contacted the office of the Mayor Di Santis, with a letter writing campaign, it worked, they have gotten back to me, there will be an investigation. You get what you pay for. Pay your employees so they actually care. Look at all the reviews for this place, do you see a pattern? For the few nurses that are helpful, thank you. There is no accountability at nursing homes during the pandemic, no way to check on loved ones. Thank God the Mayor answered my letter, there is hope.

Does any of the staff read these reviews and try to get the community to feel better on your environment. This is a good place for the CNA A's and other staff members to tell the community that you don't have to be rich to get good quality care I'm sure you employees don't make a lot of money but it's a good place for you to stand up and if it was your mother father or relatives to say hey we care about our patients even if we're poor or don't have a lot of money we will still take care of your family they're human beings have you all forgot that. The night time workers your places to sleep at home not on the job I see that all too much in nursing homes and I'm sure yours is no different why don't you grab some pride reach deep down in your bottom of your stomach pull it up and show the community that you can take care of family members even if you don't have a lot of money you should be ashamed of yourselves

It is to be served at a certain temp per state regulations. If you eat in the dining room, it is served more quickly, therefore warmer.
