Excellent spot for beer lovers. They have a great beer selection and delicious meals. Staff was also pleasant.

Great little brewery in South Baltimore! Loved the oat porter, crab stout, and hefe. Plenty of free parking across the street. Friendly staff. A lot of seating.

The beer was hit and miss. I felt the beer quality could improve. The bartender was friendly and helpful. There were plenty of snack choices. The Got Wood was their best beer. Prices are reasonable. I didn't like that no flight options are offered. The smallest beer is still 8 ounces. They filter out the gluten in their beer, which is nice and makes your stomach feel not as bloated.

Some people do bring children in strollers. Personally I wouldn't because the bar can get very busy on Saturday afternoon but I do see others with kids.

Note that Checkerspot just opened a new kitchen. Prior to them having a kitchen they embraced people bringing their own food. I think they're now migrating to a traditional model of selling the food to be consumed on premesis now that their kitchen is operational.
