Highly recommend this restaurant. The service was excellent. The dinner was delicious, high quality, at a beautiful restaurant. Everything was top notch. My seared sea scallops and the seafood ceviche was absolutely amazing. The chocolate cream pie was wonderful too with fluffy meringue on top.

One of the best meals I've had in a long time. When a Baltimore native friend told me this is the best restaurant in Baltimore, I had my doubts because it's located right in the middle of a tourist area. But this place delivers. All of the seafood was fresh and expertly prepared. The cook on the scallops was perfect. They also had a great selection of wine and cocktails. Service was immaculate and the atmosphere was lively without being loud. I really wish I could have gone here more than once during our brief trip to Baltimore.

My first time in Baltimore. Went to dinner here and this place is cool. Quaint spot, friendly people. The food was excellent. Not sure what part of town this is but the street is lined with great places to hang out.

If you are an Oyster aficionado then this is the place for you! A large variety of oysters and all types of fresh seafood. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and would highly recommend. We ordered the seafood tower, ceviche, calamari, grilled octopus, escargot and lobster rolls.

Shorts would certainly be acceptable. Really any appropriate attire would be acceptable, not exactly upscale, but certainly attracts a semi-posh crowd. :)

Is there a Thames Street Oysterhouse in London?

Roger Bayer | Aug 10, 2018

Google did not find a Thames Street Oyster House in London. There is an Oyster Shed in London. Go to the one in Baltimore. It's closer and the food is excellent. The place is so popular you need to make a reservation.

Joe Siler | Feb 10, 2021

They are very strict. The tables are spaced and capacity is limited. They offer excellent contactless pick up as well as local delivery. They do a great job ensuring that everyone is safe and has fun.

Hi I have been trying to call to make a reservation during business hours as suggested but I keep getting a busy message. What is the best time to reach the restaurant and get through?

Thank you very much for your interest in dining with us. I'm so sorry but we can't accept reservations via email as we don't have access to the reservation book off site. Please call the restaurant during business hours to check availability. We open at 5pm on Mondays and Tuesdays and at 11:30am the rest of the week. Perhaps you were calling previously outside of business hours, or the lines were busy at the time. Regardless, I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. If the reservation you'd like isn't available as we are quite small and tend to book up in advance, we do offer walk in seating for parties of up to four guests at high-top tables in our bar area, the back patio weather permitting, and we also have seating at the bar itself. The tables are held on a wait list, as are any others that may become available, so that is an option for you if you're going to be in the neighborhood. There is frequently a wait involved however. Thank you again for thinking of us!

Do you offer vegan options? I didn't see any on the website, so I thought I would ask.

We don’t have too many options for a vegan menu as we primarily serve seafood, but are happy to make adjustments as we can. A la carte vegetable sides are available, as well as altered salads. I hope this helps. Thank you for your interest in dining with us.

Is a 2:00 time good for finding a seat on Friday?

Thank you for your interest in dining with us. We are quite small located in an historic row home, so reservations are always recommended. For weekday lunches, we are only open on our first floor. For smaller parties of 2, we have several high top tables available for walk in seating and the bar itself. We do tend to fill up for lunch service daily, so there may be a wait. For parties of up to 4 we have less availability without reservation. Our kitchen does close for lunch service at 2:30 pm, but the bar and raw bar remain open straight through the day. Hope this helps and you're able to join us!
