Everyone is very friendly! This is the best way to try out a new author or genre! I also picked up so many nostalgic Goosebumps books and plays I've always wanted to read! Make sure you bring a mask and a bag for your books- they may have boxes available, but for me, a canvas tote is probably the perfect size.

I LOVE this place! Love ❤ books !!! Volunteers were nice . Organized sections and was very orderly with the amount of people allowed in at one time. How can you beat FREE books! Perfect books for my daughter's free little library too.

Wonderful place. I was surprised to see the books were well organized. I expected groupings by subject, but it was well done. You feel like you're in a bookstore.

Bring your books to drop off 24/7 then go in and grab an unlimited amount to take home. Old, newish, and hard to find books of all types can be found here. Be prepared to spend at least an hour browsing, more if it's your first time or are a bibliophile! Arranged and ordered like a massive bookstore. No reselling of books permitted.

I'd talk to someone headed to Baltimore. Its all done on a volunteer basis, on site, but someone may be willing to drive.
The book thing has reopened and looks amazing they were on the news this morning letting everyone know and if you want to volunteer just go there and ask the owner does he need any help and he will let you know im pretty sure he could use some help
Yes they have a foreign language section
Yes, it's free. But as part of society, we need to share. Make sure to bring something to give back to others. Bring books that you would enjoy yourself so that others can enjoy them as you do. Constant talking without giving isn't good in the long run.
Best to show up on a Saturday with that many, there will be more volunteers to help you, and less chance that you overflow the drop off containers.
Just take donations to the Book Thing site on Vineyard Lane off of Greenmount
They just had a day for people to come by last weekend and they did accept donations. The next date is in August, but they will not be accepting donations that day. They've been doing them once a month for the past few months, but July was the first time they've taken donations. Follow their Facebook page for new events as they post them.
I did not know they had a quilt book about Dear Jane.
