I would advise anyone considering the Artesia office to look at other options and outside Western Dental. The customer service by the front desk, dental and insurance staff is horrible. There is always an issue with having them do basic work and provide decent customer service. There is a lack of professionalism, competence and empathy. I regret ever starting a relationship with this business. I strongly encourage you to go somewhere else.

EVERYTIME I go in the service takes way too long and retainers appointments take over a month to book. Horrible horrible horrible and the worst part is that I’ve referred two others to go here based on the great experience I had with the previous staff the first time I got braces. I’ve been going here since a young child and have always enjoyed my experiences prior. I haven’t been so disappointed in a staff group than the current one now. Dr. Crawford is the best and I would give him a 10 anyday.

I love my lady dentist she’s amazing and caring, but the service at the front desk is very poor. I had an appointment, I was there on time I had to wait 2hrs to be seen because my dentist had a family emergency. Which is understandable it happens to all of us. All I asked was for status after an hour of waiting and the girl at the front said “one moment I’ll go check” with an attitude. I waited almost another hour when I went to ask for the second time. She already ignored me the first time, but the second time is not okay with the rudeness added to top it off. Nobody needs that kind of energy we can all get very busy. All I asked was for status. She could’ve just told me the dentist had an emergency that’s understandable.

Pros: When I was finally ready to get braces, they were able to fit me in the same day. Initially I had a consult then finances discussion and finally the metal parts were glued in. They gave me the length of time I would require the braces and provided the information what to eat and how to care for my new braces. This place was thorough. There were no actual negatives, everyone was helpful and my mom went here 1993 with Dr. Brown and Dr. Humphries and it was nice they didn't try to bankrupt my mom because she is a stay at home mom now with us 4 siblings. Thank you Orthos!!
