Alcove is one of those places that you will always come back to even if you have already tried all other brunch places in LA. If you want to have a yummy and generously sized sandwich, this is the place to go. Fancy a dessert after? Yep, they have it here as well. Need that caffeine fix? Grab your LA staple drink HERE! We were lucky that we went here during their somehow downtime on a late Monday afternoon and we did not wait in line for so long. I've been here so many times during different days and times of the week and let me tell you - they're are always ✨booked and busy✨. WHAT WE ORDERED: Tuna Pesto Panino - Huge and tasty AF! I'm usually not a turkey on a sandwich person, but I was able to finish everything, that says a lot. Short Rib Sandwich - Perfect for your before 6 dinner, amazingly good and flavorful though kinda greasy lol. Banana Pudding Cake (?) - 4/5 for a first timer with this cake! Chocolate Chip Cheesecake - ALL TIME FAVORITE!

Cool lunch spot that also serves breakfast items. They also have a nice bar and a dinner menu. Seating is mostly outside with umbrella tables. You order inside, get a number then find yourself a seat. They bring you the food when ready. Coffee was good stuff, food was nice. Staff is super nice, their pastries are the best. I'd go again as ambiance was cool during lunch.

Overall, I like this place! The food I’ve had is pretty good. I visited a few times so I’ve had breakfast items as well as much! And, most recently I’ve tried a pastry and a cake. Breakfast has just been OK. The omelettes are good, but nothing earth shattering :) I wish the little potatoes they served with them were seasoned a little more. The salmon I had on one visit was really good and cooked perfectly. I also tried an apple tart and it was amazingly flavorful. I also tried a lemon blueberry cake on my last visit. It was a $10 slice of cake and I honestly wouldn’t pay two dollars to have it again. It was weirdly dense to be a cake and the flavor was mediocre. Otherwise, I do enjoy this restaurant for certain items and will return. You just have to know what to order. Everything is not worth the price.

Went on a weekday morning and it was not too crowded. There was a line but it moved quickly. Staff was friendly. I just wish they posted the menu qr code near the entrance rather than the register so I could take my time looking at it. (If there was another code I missed it.) There seems to be something on the menu for everyone. I can't wait to go back and explore the menu.

Thank you so much for an awesome answer. I will definitely try the JD drink
Masks enforced, plexi glass between you and the person working the register, and they disinfect/sanitize after someone leaves a table before the next party sits.
OMGosh! Everybody giving bad remarks are a tad bit dramatic. The food here is actually good. We're all human, there's always a bad apple of a server that may accidentally drop a piece of their hair in your food. Yes, gross! But it's not the apocalypse. I would say the price is reasonable for what you order. Better than other places, if you ask me. It's loud there because when normal people have normal conversions, the sound of course, will carry throughout. It's not like people are yelling while they're talking. If it's your first time reading this, give alcove a try. It's actually a nice pleasant place, good ambiance, with good food, and I really think you'll enjoy your time there. Let me know what you really think of it after your visit.
