I can't believe I didn't know this place was here. Such a fun trail to walk through the woods, and since it's all shaded you can be out in 90 degree weather and not mind one bit. There's a cute little playground and great areas for family gatherings, too.

Really great park especially in the Fall. My family love to walk around this park. It's quite peaceful.

The original spring in town was named Excelsior and was later changed to Siloam. According to the Gospel of John,[9:1-9] Jesus healed a man who had been blind from birth. Jesus spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and spread the mud over the blind man’s eyes. He then told the man, "Go wash yourself in the Pool of Siloam." So the man went and washed and came back seeing. The cross alludes to the story in the book of John and to the healing powers that the spring water was believed to hold. Similar to the blind man washing his eyes and regaining his sight.
