These apartments are disgusting to say the least. I hated every moment being there it was a literal motel 6 atmosphere. The apartment managers could care less about the tenant concerns or problems. Within the first week of moving in we had the apartment sprayed because we had roaches everywhere!!! I explained to the manager the seal of our fridge is broken and the roaches we’re all over our food all she recommended was another spray??? Like excuse me you want me to wait for a spray while there are roaches on our food? I took it to her manager and he was just as rude as he claiming we should just get another spray. I told them this was unsafe living circumstances and if I need to I will go to corporate. They finally told me they would replace the fridge and call an exterminator. So we had to get a hotel for the night. There were many other repairs they needed to happen but I would be writing a novel. Here are some other events that happen with in our first two weeks of living there our dishwasher fell out of its compartment and there was black water coming up out the sink like the grudge was going to make an appearance. Seriously listening to your intuition when getting an apartment here this apartment needs major maintenance. Management can care less if it jeopardizing your health of the tenant.

Do not move here if you do not like stray cats because they are all over the complex. I am afraid to go out to my car at night because there are so many and they are territorial. The office said there’s nothing they can do about it, and now they have started crawling into my engine and messing up the bottom of my car. I have only been here one week and I was ready to move out the very next day. Plus they advertise a fitness room and a room with pool tables but they keep the rooms locked so we can’t even access it.

This is the WORST apartment I’ve ever lived in. The office is NEVER opened for residents all request are ignored. And problems are placed a bandage on until 3 months later I need it to be fixed again. They NEVER answer there phone calls. Getting in touch with them is literally pulling teeth and nails. Not to mention the constant roaches in the hallway. It’s getting really gross, but since they are never on the property how would they know. Lease ends in April and I just can’t wait for the day to get out of this horrible community. I’m sorry for anyone who ends up living here.

In general the apartment itself looked nice because it was spacious, had pretty floors, and the bedroom was also big, and the central AC was very nice. That being said, my husband and I left Covina Grand last May due to multiple issues. I know this is a late review but I've been thinking that it's good to warn people who are thinking of moving here to really research and ask good questions before moving here, or any apartment. Now that we live in a different apartment we realize how bad it was. It started the move-in day. Not only was management not even in office when we arrived with our uhaul truck, but once we finally got to our apartment 30 min later, it was filthy, I mean the floors were covered in a layer of dust. A window screen was broken, a door knob wasn't working, most if not all outlets weren't working properly (when you plugged something in, it wouldn't stay). And the cherry on top: roach infestation. We found dead roaches under the counters and on the floor. At first we thought it wasnt a big deal, but over the few several days we realized we had an actual infestation as we kept seeing live roaches in the kitchen, living room, and bathroom. Even in our bedroom. We brought this to the attention of management and they did send pest control, but the infestation never went away, just went through different levels of infestation. After about a month of this, we were pretty unhappy with the place, mainly because of the roaches which caused us anxiety. Most other issues had been fixed, to their credit. We talked to management about getting out of our lease. At this point we were both very upset, imagine not being able to sleep thinking there could be a roach on your bed because you see roaches in your bedroom. Although Katherine was very apologetic, another manager ( wont say names but I'm sure if he reads this he would know) was just defensive and basically told us it was our bad for moving there in the first place. Seriously? That's why we were trying to get out of the lease. It is YOUR job to have the apartment habitable and nice, and from the beginning this was not the case. He refused ( or FPI probably) to let us go unless we paid about 3 months of rent because of the lease, which we almost did but decided it was financially not the best idea. So we had not even been there a month when we were already looking forward to moving out. When our much anticipated end of the lease came, my thought was...they will find a way to keep our deposit. And as predicted, they only returned part of our deposit, supposedly for maintenance that obviously never happened before we moved in🤷‍♀️ we spent about $200 in roach products, had a roach actually fall on our bed from the ceiling, which we found the next day, yet they still took our money for "maintenance". We should've been reimbursed imo. There are some good management people, and I have nothing personal against the office staff, most of the regulars were nice with a few exceptions. Katherine was polite and kind, as well as another lady... I forgot her name sadly. But whoever is in charge of actually running the place needs to do better. Take this as cinstructive criticism if you want. I'm sure not everyone has roach problems, but we did big time. Piece of advice: actually look at the apartment you're moving into before you sign the lease. Our big mistake was looking at a model apartment and trusting ours would be ready for move-in, as promised by the lease. I also noticed there was trash in the parking lot frequently, and the dumpsters were very frequently full and people left trash by the dumpster, making that back area very unattractive, which was embarrassing the few times we brought people over. Make sure if you do a tour to look at the parking lot( we did not think of that!) and not only the model apartments. Also consider you can only park one car inside, and parking outside gets tiring pretty quickly. I hope this review helps others!
