Over 50 years later... and I still love the show 'Emergency', and 'Station 51'. The authenticity was really above and beyond, and IMO, set the standard. Anyway... I like seeing good ol' station 51, for the most part, still as it appeared in the 70s.

One of my relatives stated that now the place has sort of a museum inside dedicated to the TV show EMERGENCY! I am not sure if the Ward LaFrance truck had an Automatic transmission or if it was one of the last few fire trucks left that contained a manual transmission.

Big Fan of the show. I would love to visit some day. I hope the City someday turns Station 127 into some kind of museum & never tears it down. Hard to believe is almost 50 years since the show started.

Went to Station 127 for the same reason most people would. The guys were super friendly and gave us a complete tour and answered our questions patiently. They obviously knew a lot about the show and were enthused that people still took an interest in the station. They've kept much just as it was, especially the bunks, bathroom and lockers (yes, they pointed out Johnny and Roy's lockers). It was a great experience. Highly recommended.

They didn't. It's the same station that's in the show.
Yes it is. Still an active station!
