Hopefully saving somebody the trouble here. Had nachos and a BLT. Both were at the level of a concession stand at a public pool. We had their driest wine which was not great, and a fly wound up in the glass because we were inundated with flies in the outdoor dining area. Not sure what everybody is raving about in the reviews here. The view was pretty though. Also not a fan of having to put down a $3 deposit on the wine glass. Kind of tacky.

I would give 0 stars if I could!! My son has epilepsy and we had to leave in an emergency I left my chargers and beats ear buds and I called righ away and was told by the owner that the only person that would have found them was the cleaning lady and she has a nice car so she wouldn’t have taken them!!! So disappointed that someone would benefit from someone else’s tragedy. I have left numerous messages and no response from owner!!! Beware

The two bedrooms and common areas were very clean. The window blind in one bathroom was raised 1/2-way up and could not be lowered. The bottom of the jacuzzi was very slippery, needs a rubber mat. Very good wine and beer selections. We enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine included in our two-night stay. The young woman that did the wine tasting was very efficient and friendly. The young woman that served us second breakfast was also efficient and friendly. Both breakfasts we ordered bacon and both times were told, sorry the bacon wasn't delivered. The second breakfast's sausage was very fresh. The omelets were very good with nice selection of fillers. Dining room was closed. Brochure advertises "tasty menu items ranging from traditional German dishes to classic American fare." We were looking forward to the German dishes for the two dinners while we were there. That was very disappointing. Web site advertises rooms at $99.00 per night. The price was $149.00 per night. Updating needs to be addressed. Von Jakob has been sold recently. The new owner is renovating an old barn and will be a distillery. That might be an incentive to revisit in a couple of years.

5 stars is not enough!!! Do not go by the old reviews, the new owners obviously brought new life into this place! Everything about this place is amazing! The food, wine, employees, the bed and breakfast ALL of it phenomenal! The manager, Dalice, went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! She took the time to answer any questions we have and went out of her way to make sure I had decaf coffee! The entire staff made us feel welcome and like family! The breakfast is huge, burgers and pizza were delicious, everything was just perfect! We are already planning our next stay and hopefully bringing friends! Thank you Von Jacobs family for making our first vaca together amazing!

Questions & Answers

Why has the outside area been totally forgot. Grass growing through the bricks, umbrellas laying on the ground, picnic tables that should be used for a bonfire. SAD

Thanks for stopping in Kaylyn. At present we only sell the Black Cherry Cider at our Vineyard. We sell it to go in growlers with 4 pack bottles coming soon. It has been such a huge success our distributor has been asking for kegs so maybe other restaurants and bars coming soon.

Do they serve domestic beer?
