***Updated Review*** My family and I went in to Voodoo Gumbo this evening and ordered our food to go. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess who showed us to the To Go counter. I did ask for Herb who greeted us with a smile. After we ordered, I took a look around and the decor was very inviting, as was the music! All of the staff was friendly and interacted with our kids. Now for the food! If you get the beignets, eat them right away! They really were delicious and fresh. I didn’t want to risk waiting to get home so I tasted mine in the car. We also got the shrimp Po’ boy, catfish with hot fries, and seafood gumbo, all of which was great! Thank you for Herb and the VG staff for the amazing service and food! We’ll absolutely be back! Original Review: 3 Stars The food was pretty good but the beignets were not giving Cafe Du Monde. They were pretty dry and lacked taste. The fried shrimp & fries and catfish atchafalaya tasted great. We also got a hurricane and it was definitely New Orleans worthy. I’ll go again but try a different dessert.

The food here is amazing we found our little slice of New Orleans in Tennessee!! The flavors remind me of home! The staff is beyond friendly and make Voodoo Gumbo a family like atmosphere. I can't say enough good things! We have been in TN for a week and have been here 3 times 🤩

We love the place. The food is amazing great flavor. And love the service! Our waitress and all staff are really friendly. We were in a group and we stayed late, and because was the first time they gave is free desert. That by the way was amazing! The Gumbo is delicious and a friend native from Louisiana, confirms is authentic and delicious food. It is a place worth to try and travel to it. My favorite jambalaya and etufee
