It's a nice park with a playground for very young and older children. There is also a nice skate park area for teens and adults. Rest rooms are available as well.

This skatepark is pretty new, very nice, and super needed due to no other skate parks being located within 10 miles. It's free to visit and is open from dusk til dawn. It's not a huge park, but has everything that is essential for a good extreme park. There's medium sized bowl for people who prefer to ride the pipes. There's also a nice transition section featuring roll in ramps, quarter pipes, rails, benches and a sweet spot for wall plants. I believe this would technically be slightly geared towards bmx riders, as I believe the person the park's named after was a bmx rider; however, skateboarders shred there regularly. As opposed to the downtown Louisville skate park, I would say this is a much more family oriented park. It sits beside a picnic gazebo and some baseball fields behind a school, so there's almost a guarantee to be kids and at least one supervising adult around whenever you visit. It definitely lacks some of the raw aspects of skating that you may see in other parks. This factor is sometimes a buzzkill, as young kids out in the counties usually dont understand skate park etiquette, and of course when there are more kids that automatically means there are more scooters. The good thing is you can often find the park nearly empty, giving you plenty of unimpeded space to practice. All in all, this is a spectacular little skatepark.

It's a fun place to skateboard but made more for bmx. It's hours are Dawn tell Dusk so depends on what season were in. Due to complaints by the neighborhood surrounding the park, the park lights do not turn on at all. The locals are great!
