Whittington Woods Campground

We’re heading home to houston Tx and purposely took a route to stay at Whittington Woods. We stayed here a few years ago and loved it. Now it’s even better! The beautiful wood carvings, the flower planters, and even more chickens! Great place for families, immaculate, level sites with beautiful big trees. You can feel the love and care the owners put into it. It’s perfect!

We had an wonderful stay at this campground. The grounds are well taken care of. The owners and staff take great pride in making your stay a nice one. I HIGHLY recommend it. Thank you to all for a experience. We will definitely stay here again if our travels take us to IL.

Beautiful well-maintained campground! Nice shaded level lots with picnic tables and fire rings. Only stayed one night as we were passing through but the staff made us feel like vip guests. Small store but sufficient. Our granddaughters enjoyed the pool too. There is a lot of road noise outside but not so noticeable in the camper. Took a business card so we can stay again sometime.

We had a wonderful overnight stay. Although our stay was short we did take a walk to see the wood carvings and chickens. Some freeway sounds but didn't notice much in our camper. 4star only because storm shelter? and closest bath to us were locked and hubby has a hard time walking up to the front building.
