Completely addicted to this great community of swimmers ...and fantastic place... thank you SERC! Looking forward to more full moon swims, events of all kind ... in our beautiful cove...! 😊

This was a pretty unique experience. I met a member on the flight to SF and she invited me for an open water swim. The club is historic and nice. Everyone was super friendly. Viewing Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge and then turning around to see the city scape is an amazing experience because you’re in the water! After you get out, a shower and sauna is the best way to recover.

I came to South End Rowing Club with a group called pathstar. It's a week-long experience where you do a lot of sightseeing, walking, visiting Alcatraz, Ace Spice Shop, walking the Golden Gate Bridge, and swimming in the Aquatic Center. We were lucky to be able to use the South End Rowing Club as our home base. Then the piece de resistance was we swam off of Alcatraz Island into the Aquatic Center which is over one and a half miles. The serc building and all the people inside it were absolutely wonderful to me. If I lived in San Francisco I would definitely become a member. You guys & gals rock!

Amazing place. Private beach and dock for sunset views and drinks, plus swimming, rowing, handball. Also an ideal spot to begin and bike rides and runs. All for just over a dollar a day!

Mine is 3mm and keeps me cozy in the 53f water, but would likely be too bulky if you're training for a triathlon
The day use fee is $10, and is very important to the club, because when visitors pay and sign the envelope, they help us stay in compliance with our liability insurance. The real value is in joining the club. We're are a hard working, DIY community of awesome people who occasionally go off and swim the English Channel or something equally impressive. Ask not "how much does it cost?" But rather "how deep is my well?" And "how can i help?". If these kinds of questions are totally alien to you, then go somewhere else.
