Customer service is terrible here. I ordered a grilled cheese mini meal for my girl friend which comes with small fries and a small drink. I got to my car and started eating with her and she noticed the fries weren’t there. I went back to the cashier since we were eating in the parking lot but didn’t take the food since we had already started eating. I told the guy we didn’t get our fries and I showed the receipt. The guy asked me like 4 times “are you sure the fries aren’t in the bag”. I told him 4 times “no” they were making a huge deal for SMALL fries. It was ridiculous and I over heard one of the cooks say in a sarcastic manner “we gave you your fries”😑. If the fries were in the bag I wouldn’t be here complaining. Also, These guys will not give you condiments unless you ask for them and when you do they give 2 bags of ketchup and very few napkins. Not going go back here again.

I had a philly cheese steak and chili cheese fries with a bottled water. Cheese steak was pretty good and the fries were good as well. Although it was a tad expensive but the food was good. There's no indoor seating for now because it was closed but there are a few tables with some shade around back.

OMG!! I’m so glad I pulled the trigger & decided to order from this place today. From the person who politely & accurately took my phone order, to the the taste of the food…everything was FANTASTIC! Everyone in my family ordered something different so we were able to sample many different things & it was all delicious!! I am such a stickler for stellar safety practices, great customer service & quality. This place has hit the mark on all levels & will now be our new fast food spot. I’ll be sure to post pics next time around…we jumped in relatively quick & by the time I tasted everything, the pictures wouldn’t do the food much justice because there was nothing left. Lol That chocolate banana milkshake though. 😋

Connal's man!!! This is what my wife and I excitedly say to each other when we eat sandwiches from this amazing place. It's a "food joy" experience every time. I'm on a personal mission to try almost everything on its huge menu. It's our local favorite sandwich shop in North Pasadena. The name on the sign is Sandwiches by Connal but the locals just call it Connal's. My favorite is the pastrami dip. The original combo grinder is an awesome cold sub option. If you are in the mood, the chili cheeseburger will satisfy your craving. The photo is of the Italian beef dip. It's good but be warned, the giardiniera is spicy. A bit too hot for me, but just fine if you enjoy hot spice. My wife helped me finish it and really enjoyed it. The subs are about 7-8 inches long and 4 inches tall. If you have a smaller appetite you can get two meals out of a sandwich and fries. The fries are like what some people say about pizza, they are good because they are fries. If you're not picky you will enjoy them. It's inexpensive and really satisfying comfort food. At peak times there is almost always a line for the ordering window, but the line moves pretty quickly. You also have the option to call in your order and go pick it up. Connal's has been around for generations and a lot of locals have been going there since they were kids. So, do yourself a favor and give this place a try soon.
