This place is a charm. The nachos with mole are absolutely delicious. First time coming and I truly enjoyed my Horchata and pizza Oaxaquena. Their menu is pretty big so they have other Mexican dishes.. Good customer service, every server was making sure everything was ok in our table.

Great food from Oaxaca. My family has been coming here for over 3 yrs! It feels like home made food. Staff is friendly and they have live music on the weekends. They bring you chips covered in none spicy salsa topped with queso fresco. I must admit they do take a little to bring the food out but its worth it. You can’t go wrong with Tlayudas which is like a big pizza on a thin tortilla topped with black beans, cabbage, quesillo (string cheese) and one option of meat: Tasajo (thin beef), Chorizo, Sesina(pork). I love their cafe de la olla (coffee with cinnamon) and got chocolate. PARKING is limited 😑 because it’s a small parking.

As a 100% mexican i know that, for the most part, one can only understand real mexican food having lived in Mexico. Then there are the regions. Oaxaca is known among mexicans for its exquisitr and diverse foods. Expresion Oaxaquena is definitely the kind of hole in the wall place that delivers what one goes there for: Great, authentic food from Oaxaca. Late hours and friendly customer service (don't expect super fast, ok? It ain't fast food!), round up a nice, casual, yet delicious gastronomic urban experience, in the heart of Los Angeles. I ordered Botana Oaxaquena. A super sampler of the most sought after flavors that Oaxaxa offers.

I think you mean the red sausage, I'm not sure there, but they do sell it in the Oaxacan Valley.
Not sure they're closed right now for remodeling.
Not really. If you like diversity i suggest la guelaguetza they have diversity in crowds, as well as music.
You can make reservations, they have enough area, and they can gather tables if you wish ... be it a family reunion of friends or a simple social gathering ...
