I want to give a zero star for their service team. They have a lousy customer support and refuse to replace my defective PM5010 Controller. My controller buttons failed to work after 3 months. After several emails (they don’t answer their phone), they asked me to mail my unit to them to me checked out. They said it was fine and I had to send them my credit card number for them to mail it back. After I got it, it worked for another month and failed. My unit is a lemon and they refuse to replace the problem part. This is my third unit. The membrane buttons fail over time. This third unit has issues. The other day, it went into Calibration (CAnC) mode and I cannot exit from it. Buttons not working. I see one of the buttons might be shorted (closed) causing rest of the buttons not to function. They are only company that makes this or sells this spa pack so they don’t need to care. I’m going to use the old circuit board and add my own water proof buttons. From their user manual: Note: If any of these buttons are pressed and held closed for longer than 20 seconds, that button will be disabled and becomes non-functional. After releasing the button, it will be reactivated after 20 seconds. This is to prevent a collapsed or defective key from locking up the system. No button was pressed and it locked up. Clearly faulty unit.

I would give them a zero star if I could. I purchased a new pump for my spa, which lasted only 4 months. After my complaint, I was told to take the pump and the motor apart and to sent pictures of all parts to find out if the motor got damaged because it run on dry-fire. After examined the pictures, hey came to the conclusion that something else got wrong but they couldn't determine what it was. Still, they didn't honor their warranty, refused to replace the motor, and only offered me to purchased a brand new motor with 20% discount. I feel deprived for I paid for and cheated. Shame on Acura Spa System!!!

After 3 years that my poor 20 year old spa been sitting outside and lost its glory days, I decided to do a complete overhaul as the wood cabinets were rotting and I had a lot of leaks with the spa's plumbing. Also found out that my Balboa control board was bad and I contacted Acura Spa right away through e-mail for assistance. I received a reply back at 3am on what control system I needed. Called them the next day as I was confused on how to order the things that I needed online. The sales rep that answered my call was very helpful and I like the fact that he was straight forward and was not selling me the parts that I don't really need. Received my order in a timely manner, just right in time that I was done with the cabinet and plumbing of my spa. The universal spa control was really well built and got my spa running like new again. It was good quality and compared to my old Balboa control unit, its not as crammed inside the box. The control pad was bigger than my old school control but with a help of a dremmel everything worked right. They also provided me with new wirings for the light, blower and pump which was really good. I recommend Acura spa to anybody that needs help with their spa and don't hesitate to call them. Acura spa earned my business! Thank you guys!

We recently purchased a replacement pump for our 2008 Cal Spas hot tub. Joe was fantastic to work with. I sent an email requesting help in choosing the correct pump replacement, along with photos of the old pump and the model & SN for our hot tub. He got right back to us, over a weekend no less. We purchased the more efficient model and my husband installed it the day it arrived. It's so much quieter than the old pump and Acura Spa Systems made it a cinch to replace. Super happy with the level of service and all the tips and recommendations that were provided. Happy customers! We will buy all replacement pumps through this company going forward. Oh! And shipping was much faster than expected. The pump was shipped out two days after ordering and arrived a couple of days after that. For made-to-order pumps I'd say that was pretty stellar!

The head engineer at Acura is extremely helpful, may take a day or two for him to answer but you should reach it to him, he monitors the support line

it depends on the volume of water in the tub and how large is the drain valve and the hose connected to the drain valve.Usually people turn the power off, locate the drain valve in the spa pluming and connect to a water hose.the water will drain by gravity.it is a smart idea to time the process so you will know next time how long does it take to drain your spa.
