We got in here very late Sunday evening, just before closing and were treated like kings, like the very first customer of the day. We had a wonderful server, the beautiful Sophie. We were seated at table 45, the best table in the house. We had an excellent meal which started off with warm bread and cinnamon butter. The soups were great. The entrées which included salads, burgers and steaks were all top-notch. This place is really good. It is not a tourist rip off! If you were in Estes Park Colorado be sure to check it out.

The food is out of this world. The flavor that stays in your mouth after the meal is wonderful. Also the staff is very friendly and efficient. I have left less than five reviews in my lifetime, two of which have been in Estes Park - and it’s not just because my last name is ESTES unfortunately no relation.

Definitely THE PLACE to eat in Estes! Every single time we've had great service, great food and some good music too. Last night was no exception. Don't let the prices keep you from trying this place. Food is excellent, steaks, pasta, burgers, pizzas... soooo good. And the DEVILS ON HORSEBACK Appetizer is to die for. (Dates filled with garlic cream and bacon wrapped). It's our favorite place to eat in Estes. Most of Estes is higher priced mountain town. Sadly most of the Restaurants are sub par. The ROCK INN is a must, lots of charm and an Estes staple. We recommend Filet Mignon, NY Strip and the Bison Meatballs in gravy!

We had a good experience at the Rock Inn Mountain Tavern. The atmosphere was definitely more mount town comfortable, so no need to wear your Sunday best. The decor had a rustic charm to it. Our waitress was ok- not super enthusiastic and helpful at navigating the menu, but was attentive and also efficient at getting us our meal. Another waitress kept bumping into my wife multiple times as she was walking by. The food came out fast, but quality was not rushed. I ordered the Filet Minon with sautéed mushrooms, which I’d recommend adding if you like them. The steak was flavorful and cooked to order. My wife ordered the salmon bowl- it came with a red pepper sauce, which was light and added nice flavor. The sauce comes on the side, so you can add as much as you like. Overall, the meal was solid- not quite top shelf but it definitely hit the spot and you’d unlikely be disappointed. Cheers!
