Well marked trail in the Spencer IN area. Not too difficult but not easy either... it took our group about an hour to navigate the inclines that took us up on the bluffs and a descent that meandered around the Racoon's creek? And what was left of an old mill site. Lots of fun. They were expanding and building up the parking area... nearly finished. This nature preserve reminded me of Cedar Bluff but not quite as ruggedβ€πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ‘£

The trails have been much improved. It was a good 2.5 mile hike. I would consider parts of the trail to be moderately difficult. You should be in good shape with good legs and ankles. A walking stick or poles are good to take along. The views are terrific; some of the vantage points are perilous. Be careful and sensible.

Beautiful sandstone cliffs with Hemlock trees overlooking Big Raccoon Creek. Incredible fall colors against a cobalt blue November sky.

I grew up next to Greens Bluff. We used to camp, hike, horseback ride and it was a magical place. 47 years later I still go back every year to visit. The stories we could tell about the haunted cemetery and bluffs would blow your mind. Simply a must visit place. Be sure to take the trail to the right to enjoy the view from the top of the cliff’s.

Hunting isn't allowed. And there are still homes very close by so Im thinking it's not a good idea to be shooting any type of gun there. Sorry..
