This park is absolutely beautiful! Some really good bike riding and hiking trails. The pool was very clean. We would give it more stars but A lot of amenities are not open or overgrown. We will definitely be back when in the area.

We loved this campground. I was concerned by the negative reviews, but we were very pleasantly surprised. We stayed for 1 week. During that time we had wonderful cell service through ATT and Verizon which provided us with quick internet. We both work on the road, so this was important. The majority of the sites appear to be full-timers, but they were all very friendly and well maintained. The laundry facilities were very clean and updated to accept cards and use an app which we greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.

I will start by saying this campground has a lot of potential under Thousand Trails Resort but until that transformation is complete the website is completely misleading. We knew there would be some closures or delay due to COVID-19 but these problems existed long before 2020. The mini-golf is torn up and overgrown, tennis and volleyball are unplayable, basketball courts rundown and horseshoes non-existent. The playground needs to be replaced. All amenities that were advertised on the website and all were subpar. My biggest complaint is with site assignment. It is first come first serve for sites so there is no guarantee that your camper will fit in what is left. We only discovered our site had sewer after a kind neighbor pointed it out. Many sites had non working electrical boxes so our choices were limited. I expected more after paying almost $70 per night upfront when I booked in January. We have traveled all over the country and have no problem paying that type of money but then we expect more out of the campground. This place is worth $40 a night at best. The seasonal sites are mostly nice and well maintained, probably by those campers. Most of the other campers were nice. People were very kind, always smiling and waving. We were reprimanded by a seasonal camper for our parking. Our friends were yelled at for going 6 mph to pull out of the site. My only interaction with a staff member was being told they had no ice. Tip, don’t advertise ice on the paperwork from check in if you don’t have it. Again, so much potential here with the land, lakes and trails but this campground was not the campground I viewed online in January. I wish I could have camped there. We love this area but won’t be returning here.

We absolutely loved our time at Horseshoe lakes. Susan was amazing and very helpful. Campground does have a lot of annual campers. Which if we lived closer we would have an annual site here as well. Grandson absolutely loved the pool and kayaking. Restrooms where very clean as was the family center and the quiet lounge. We will be back. Warning the campground has no control over..AT&T service does not work. If you need wifi get it before arriving at the campground.

Yes they do. May be a waiting list, bt not sure
About an hour an 15 minutes. It's about 60 miles to red bird.
Most are full hookup, but only thirty amp and no cable. We are an all electric forty foot fifth wheel and did well on thirty amps due to shade.
