God Bless All those who volunteer their time in the service of others...at the Fred Jordan Mission serving.Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Located in the heart of Skid Row I was referred by my case worker at the end of the month when I I ran out of my EBT SNAP Benefits. My HIV medications require I take with food...when I called. a friendly soft warm voice thanked me for calling and asked how she could. I told her my situation and she responded with asking my contact info and then told me that I could pickup anytime after 9am tomorrow. When I arrived early, I waited in a short line.. when I reached the front gave them my name... A man came out with with 2 large boxes, a week's groceries and a bag of toiletries.. and 2 egg ham and cheese begals and a cup of coffee.. I was quickly on my way.. a.blessing during My time of need. Thank you to all who answered my call for help. God Bless and keep you.

SUCH A WASTE OF SPACE!!! There are hundreds of people that could take use of the MISSION if it were opened as a shelter instead of mere STORAGE!!!!!!

This is my truth....I was lost in the streets of lament and eventually went blind left in darkness. GOD took me by the hand to the doors of Fred Jordan Missions where I was instructed to wait. Like Lazarus, 3 days later I was found, my soul was saved and I was restored to my family 😀. It felt like I had been left behind for centuries...The truth will set you FREE...Thank You YAH....Amen.

The week before Christmas. on 5th and Towne streets
It's no longer a mission but they still serve food Tuesday-Friday, be in the building by 2:30pm and Saturday by noon.
Why would they charge to volunteer
The staff are people who are interested in the helping out with the kids and the community. I've never been in there but people around here have spoken highly of the establishment. As far as I know that's the same place where my "Husband" goes to meet with other women and duck off too so i don't know what or see that he's spending time with other women.
Fred Jordan Mission. Is the name and they provide food for poor people and other wonderful services.They. can use service like Ice maker water pumpsprayer to clean up. Outside.
