I've been a member of FSBCH for over two years. I've seen the many blessings God has poured at the church to share. The church seeks to share the blessings with the community. It feels me with joy that He has used this church as a source to bless many people and those that are looking for spiritual growth. We are not perfect like Christ is, but we seek to serve him and others based on the example he left us.

When I came to First Southern Baptist Church of Hollywood I felt at home. I felt blessed and welcome. I embraced this church with all my heart, and I wanted to be part of its ministries. It's been a long time, and I am still here. It makes me happy to serve the Lord, and to be a witness of His goodness.

When i came to obtain food at the food drive and extra clothing I was turned away by the member of the church wearing an ankle brace. Community based church. I think not, I see a lot of quality food being brought only for that women to demand I place it back because she had first choosing.... I don't understand if it's free why is the church staff choosing it before actual needy homeless men and kids, my daughter Aubry was with me to witness that woman remove those items from my dsughters hand.... I looked up the church only to see exploited children on the page along with the Mercedes in front...the Lord is great but why not treat community based members with kindness and respect.... instead I hang out and that women tells me to report the internal relationships being taking part within that church ....Sammy and a black woman eve! I tried to tell her that it's not heavenly right...she insisted that I continue to be part only to see the relationships. She asked me to donate to the church, so that I may be blessed and prayed for.... I and my daughter felt so bad....and will never return to that church!... unfortunate that I lost my home and possession due to a negligence tax representative, I'm an accountant and will strive to report you and BUSINESS! Because your Facility is fraud and will be investigated. If u wonder who I am ....I sleep across the street from the church or near lemon grove freeway. I travel to many shelters and never been treated with such regard as if I'm not human. Please change ur practice ...I see that you expect Volunteer work but yet I see monetary conditions are not advertised. As far as the church owner, you seem to overlook these concerns and neglect to response. I will be advertising to other homeless community human beings to witness ur unGodly ways. ....it kills me inside to write this..****.but my voice will be heard***

No matter who you are or where you come from there will always be a place for you at this church. This is a small church in size, but it has amazing ministries that serve the community in a great way. If looking for volunteer opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others, this is the right place. We have the food ministry where every week we provide groceries to anyone who needs it. At the convalescence home ministry, we visit a hospital every 3rd Saturday of the month. The mission’s ministry, brings hope, gifts, or necessity items to local and international places like Thailand, Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador, etc. We also have community events like back to school give-a-way, Christmas Play, shoes for the needy, and much more.
