Just picked up my order and it had no rice !!! I called and they talked to the cook who told them that is impossible that he did that . Like what do i have to lie about some rice !! I will bring this photo to them tomorrow . But i don’t even want anything just to prove what they did and they didn’t believe me . No good customer service . I use to love this place good is good but hate when they talk like this to a customer My husbands came with rice but then his jibarito had barely any steak !! And soggy . This is the first time ever this happened. But one time Is enough for me not to return.

Café Rosa I am by no means an expert on Puerto Rican cuisine, but the Jibarito place on 18th street is delicious. We were far from Pilsen, so we looked up something on google, and this place popped up. Café Rosa, the interior aesthetic is actually pretty cool. I liked the vibe; you can tell it turns into like a nightclub. But we are here for the food. We ordered Jibarito’s with arroz con gandules; the arroz was very tasty and seasoned well. We also ordered the fried yucca; I think this was my favorite. I also had an alcapuria and a papa rellena. I had an alcapuria back in Puerto Rico and I was expecting something similar, but I was disappointed. I don’t know if they are premade? Or they are mass-produced, but the taste was off. Kind of like when you take something frozen, and then you fry it. The interior of the alcapuria was gooey, and it seemed overcooked. The papa rellena was the opposite extreme, very dry. It wasn’t until afterward that I saw them sitting under a heat lamp. I guess if I drowned everything in mayo-ketchup it would have made up for it. The actual jibarito was delicious. But I was really looking forward to the alcapuria like the one I had on the island. I can’t recommend the place, maybe if the food tasted fresher.

The food was amazing!!!! 😋 Plates are more than enough to get full or save for later. I could only eat half. Customer Service could be better. Ladies and Gentlemen smile a little and greet your customers. Make them feel welcome in an establishment that you work at. You chose to work here not by force.

This place was recently remodeling! It looks great. The tables and chairs were a little uncomfortable. The food was ok. I got the mixed appetizers which was one of most the appetizers on the menu. It was a little hard to share with the people I was eating with we had to cut things in pieces so that everyone got a tasteP. It was good tho. The garlic on the food was overwhelming. They use it heavily! It was a little busy and they only had 2 workers, but the food came out hot.
