I always like to support a small local business, but unfortunately the food here is just not very good. I had spinach (tasted like frozen spinach), mushroom (tasted like canned mushrooms - texture was very unappealing), and vegan al pastor - which was in a strange tasting red sauce. I have some leftover and I can't say I am looking forward to eating them. The chimichurri sauce was pretty flavorless; I think it might have been made with dried parsley. I don't eat meat but maybe their meat empanadas taste better? It's a bit dingy inside as well. I would try it again if they change their recipes.

This place is in Riverside on Burlington avenue. An area I'm very familiar with however, I've not had the pleasure of eating in this establishment till yesterday. 3/30/2022. I had two empanadas, a bowl of lentil soup, a Pellegrino and a dessert in which there is a picture here but I'm not sure of the name. First and foremost, the place is clean. That's the biggest issue for me overall second, while I'm not an empanada expert, these were very good. Fresh not dry. Flaky and flavorful. The two ladies that were there were delightful. I don't know if this is a good deal or not, but the empanadas I believe were $3.20 a piece. The soup was very good. Rivals my wife's lentil soup. The location is right off of Burlington train stop reasonable amount of parking and overall a very good place to visit. One caution, there's not very much seating area. See pictures. Definitely a recommendation.

Little tiny place with really good variety of ready to eat empanadas to choose from! Nice flaky crust and good fillings. Staff will tell you what's popular. Also have gelato for dessert, which was pretty tasty. Down side is very small place w/ltd seating, 2 small tables-and no public restrooms. Wouldn't pass it up for those reasons, though!

Reading all these reviews might have raised my expectations a little to much. Or maybe the price raised my expectations. But nevertheless, I tried 2 kinds the pepperoni pizza type and the beef. The pizza was a 2star edible but super greasy. The grease oozed onto my beef empanada. So much so I took one bite and took a break to gather myself. The beef was a 3 star maybe better without the pizza grease. I’ll give it another shot down the road, maybe.
