I have had my car fixed here many occasions by the older guy and he did a great job but since he had retired it's gone downhill...I called to inquire about getting my car fixed and gave detail about what was wrong with it. I was told I would have to do diagnostic tests. I kept insisting that I already knew exactly what was wrong with it but the receptionist was not listening. Then when I went on to ask if this would be included with the repair and was told no. Irv never charged this and was very reasonable. You didnt need appointments and he got you in and out. Disappointed.

Hands down the best shop in Chicago! Their professionalism was top notch and I felt like my car and my belongings was going to be taken care of. I can tell everyone is hard at work over at Irvin's Auto Care. Once I got home and really looked at my car I could see they did everything I asked about and even made recommendations on what could cause problems down the road and how they can fix it.

Everything was great from the start. Miss Denise was really lovely from the moment I made the appointment via phone. She was just as lovely when checking me in. She explained everything very thoroughly, got all my information so I could be updated via text, email, and/or phone. I got notified when someone checked my car in to start diagnosing it. I got notified when they were done. I got a full report, complete with PICTURES of my brakes, fluid levels, etc. I got a detailed estimate that explained all my options and let me agree to all or none of it. ALL ONLINE (says the person who doesn't like talking on the phone). They immediately called and let me know when it would be ready the next day. I went to pick it up at 5:40 pm (had to stay a bit at work). Discovered that the brochure said they closed at 6 but it was really 5 (so be sure to check that). They were outside and immediately helped me even though they were on their way out. Graciously. I was flustered about keeping them and drove off without signing my paperwork. Yikes! Turned around (just at the next block) and went back. We had a laugh and she was so kind and understanding. The work was done well, on-time, and for about 35% less than I was quoted from the dealer. (Probably more than that because I'm comparing the entire price from Irvin's to the pre-tax quote from the dealer.) They were wonderful. My brakes are great. The price was good. I loved being able to see the report online. I felt really reassured when all those pictures showed up. Great people, great work. Can you tell I'll be going back?

I drive from far West to Only let Irvins take care of my car. Excellent service and care. I found them when I was lost my belts broke and stopped in front if his place at closing time. I was so upset. He came out told me he would remain open and fix it!! Ladies you want honest caring men to service your car, go there!!
The hours are Monday -Friday 7am to 6pm. Saturday 8am to 4pm. Closed Sunday.
