Marie's is not what it used to be. The food is the not same and the atmosphere is gone. You can't even walk into the door without being screamed at for not wearing a mask. Mask mandates were dropped in Chicago months ago. If the employees want to wear one, so be it, but don't scream at customers and shoo them out the door for not having one to walk 5 feet to a table.

Used to enjoy coming to Maries for pizza for a good 30+yrs until TODAY. Our family didnt make it past the 1st door when a rude woman inside bangs on the glass hand gesturing us about masking with the cruelest eyes you'll ever see! Made us feel like we were being accused of being infected with plague or something! Paranoid much? Wonder if she knows one can still have covid while vaxxed. Incredibly rude. What a shame. An exiting guest who likely encountered the same rudeness also stated they were enforcing vax card, only 3 of 5 of us were in the clear so we walked back out. Nice gentleman outside suggested La Villa and that is where we headed and were served and treated the way one would expect at a decent local family restaurant that appreciates their customers.

Really tasty pizza but way overpriced. Menu did not list what was charged, sampler 2oz cup of Parmesan cheese and red peppers condiments were each charged extra. Felt really taken advantaged of. First time there, when they asked. They should have communicated that the menu listed prices were outdated and the add-on charges of condiments that are usually gratuitous was not

My favorite pizza place. I've been going there since 1982. I always stop in when in the neighborhood. A multifamily holiday dinner there is an annual tradition. Always decorated over the top. The best ultra thin crust pizza in a great nostalgic place that hasn't changed since it opened.
