Great beach. Be aware that you need a Wilmette dog pass to access the beach section where your dog can be let free without a leash ($41 Wilmette residents, $208 non residents). Dogs need to be on a leash at all times in the other sections of the beach.

A little bleak this morning, but the sand felt good, and the waves and birds made soothing sounds. Lots of dogs this morning. Cold water and very calm. Lots of flies, bring bug spray

Yes. You need to purchase a yearly pass and in order to do that you will need to submit a record of up to date inoculations for your dog. Information can be found on the Wilmette park district website.
