The place and gardens were beautiful. We were looking for an easy day in nature and found one here. We walked along paths that took us to ponds and through canopies of trees. The birds and butt were everywhere. And through out the park are statues to find. We really had a wonderful time. And it was a great place to have a picnic!

If you love the outdoors then this is the place for you. You can rent bikes to ride through the pathways which is pretty cool. The sculptures are amazing and beautiful, the detail is very excellent. My mother came along and she is 80, while they offer wheelchairs at no cost it was disappointing that they do not offer motorized chairs which would have been so much more convenient. This would be a great enhancement to the beauty of this place for those who need it. The majority of the art is on another side of the part which they advised was viewable from your car. It really isn't. You have to find parking and then walk to the art. On a hot day this can be a bit much. Overall it was a great family day and experience.

Relaxing, calm, meditative, and a plant diverse place to walk and explore. I love seeing the larger than life garden sculptures, and every time I go I discover a new path. Cross country skiing is accessible and a lot of fun here. The trails provide a nice variety of hills, scenery, and are beginner to intermediate in challenge. The Light Show in the winter is impressive, family friendly, and has a lot of variety in music and type of lights. There is so much to do at the Arboretum including classes and events, so a membership is worth it.

Amazing experience. Must visit if you are near by. Once you enter, there are few things to see near the visitor center like children garden, Maze, Shopping and restaurant etc. After that you can just roam around the beautiful places by car, there are plenty of place to trek and roam around in the car. There are over 30+ parking spots, which makes it comfortable to visit the place which you like, you can get a good exposure to the woods being near to your car. Absolutely loved it. Better to take a yearly pass for $60 and visit the place more often.

Hi Sandy. The tram began operation on May 17 to test new operations for this first week. Information will be available on the website next week, but tickets may be purchased now in the Visitor Center on a first-come, first served basis up to 10 minutes prior to each departure time. In accordance with public health requirements, masks must be worn while riding the tram. Hours of operation are currently 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., however, please check with the Visitor Center as departure times may vary.
Ok
Pets may not be brought to the Arboretum. Service dogs are allowed, and dogs may accompany their humans on designated Dog Admission Days only.
I can't say definitively, but I would imagine they are. I went to the Chicago Botanic Garden this past Monday and things were in early bloom.
Check out the website. They have "dog days" and routes but im not sure when. Same for cyclers, they have specific routes they can take.
