One of the Best golf courses in Boone County! Fast play, challenging greens, fun times!!

Played 18 on Saturday, 8 people 2 tee time, Went well, Course was packed but it moved well. After 18 around 2 pm Five of us decided to play 9, We started with 2 going first and the other 3 followed, The 2 were playing behind a very slow foursome with a young Gal playing (around 12 yrs old). We caught up to the 2 very quickly on #2 (They were waiting for the Foursome on the green. Behind Us the 3 there was a foursome 2 Ladies and 2 gentleman (Not playing very Fast) Now I know golf rules and I know your not supposed to but we decided to join up on #2, We moved fairly fast especially since we were playing Scramble. At the 3rd tee the Manager/Pay Attendent came out to us with an attitude and angerly said " Remember me?" I said no, He said "I'm the guy you paid to play and I told Him you couldn't play 5" With out arguing I told the Guy ok well split up. Other words were passed and we split up. The rest of the round Sucked the 2 some constantly waited for the foursome ahead of them, we were on the 3 some every hole waiting. The foursome behind us caught us on #4 and waited for us waiting on the 3. Now Ive been playing Golf for over 30 years not good but playing. I know the rules I know golf etiquette. It should began with management and the way they talk to Paying customers because at the end of the day I AM A CUSTOMER. I haven't been to Swan Hill in over 3 years and now I remember why, I will keep my membership and money at my present club and will never spend a dime nor recomend Swan Hills to anybody. Now when I left I did give an earful to another attendant in the pro shop that was there. Probably said a few things I shouldn't have, but that's the way It felt.

I've been coming to this course for years and have never been disappointed. ....until today. After finishing the front nine we(foursome )decided to have a brat and a beer. We weren't in the bar but 5 minutes when the manager warned us that we might not be able to finish on the back nine. We hurried through our beer and sandwiches and returned to our carts when the managers confronted us outside. Again telling us that we couldn't continue for fear of cutting in front of someone. Since when can't you have a break between the front and back? I've been golfing for 40 yrs and have never been rushed like this before. The manager actually told me he would rather we not come back if we were going to take a break after the first nine. Really? Is that good customer service? Shouldn't management be more focused on providing a pleasant customer experience? Instead he chose to hassle customers who chose to pour more money into his establishment! ? Worst treatment I've ever experienced. Sad to say I probably won't be back. I'll miss the course.

The course overall was good had a pretty good round the one drawback was the manager Kevin. He was very ignorant and rude towards us I've never had to deal with such an ignorant person especially being that he is a manager as far as the rest of the employees they were fine. I have to say I will be hesistant going back to this golf course due to the manager

Not really. This is a fun place to play golf, but it's facilities are lacking. Putting green yes. Great bar too.
