A decent park to chill and have a good time. I wish Davenport would put more effort into this park as it could have a lot of potential, but other than that, it’s naturally beautiful.

I am taking the 52 Hike Challenge, to get a weekly hike in over the course of a year. So, I decided to check out the trails here for this hike. I had my son, three year old granddaughter, and dog with me. The trail starts out looking like it will be an enjoyable trek, but eventually turns into a nightmare of thick growth and deadfall. The trail was just too poorly maintained to properly enjoy. Still, once we made it to the river, the birds and the view were lovely. By the end, our clothes were covered in pickers, so we spent a good fifteen minutes being aggravated, trying to removing them all. Overall, it was a challenge. If I would hear that they’ve cleaned it up, I would definitely return, but not until then.

Great spot for fishing, biking, walks. Has 2 play grounds and multiple areas for grilling.

Awsome park. Good trails . Beautiful views. Clean. Frisbee golf course. Good fishing spot. And lots of historical events happend right there ( war of 1812) play grounds for the kids . and a ww2 tank
