We are very pleased with Thompson Roofing. Gary gave us a very fair price, communicated every step of the way, was professional, arrived early each morning and finished on time even with a wind delay. The crew was clean and the roof looks great. One of the easiest home renovations we have done.

Gary Showed up on time and his was very professional. He fixed the leak we had in our home in Eastvale, the same day and he came back the day after to finish replacing some broken roof tiles. He is honest, professional and knowledgeable! He gave us a very reasonable price too! He did an excellent job! I will definitely recommend him.

After obtaining multiple estimates my husband and I decided to go with Thompson Roofing for our re-roof. The owner Gary was professional and easy to talk to. Gary and his team completed the job in the estimated time frame, they were always on time, quality work, did an excellent cleanup and the price was fair. I would highly recommend.

While most other roofers weren't picking up their phones, Thompson Roofing answered and Gary came out that morning to give an estimate on my newly leaking roof. Not only did he arrive early but he gave the best estimate and didn't try to add other unnecessary work that other roofers falsely said needed to be done just to pad their wallet. He came back the next day to do the work, found and repaired the source of the leak, replaced other missing tiles, and did a great job. Thanks, Gary!

You should never pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of removing any protective materials that have been added to provide protection from the elements. In addition, you should avoid chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they can also reduce the lifespan of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning specialist, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will remove the unsightly algae and discoloration without damaging the tile or shingles.
Since your roof is constantly exposed to the outside elements, it means your roof is going to degrade over time. The rate at which it degrades will depend on a number of factors. These include; the quality of the original materials used and the workmanship, the amount of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is maintained and the design of the roof. Most roofing contractors will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but that can never be guaranteed because of the above factors. Our advice is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
It really depends on the type of roof and what inspections are required. Also, keep in mind that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we can’t work on certain days then this will add time to the job. A small home could take around a week or so, while larger commercial projects could be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just make sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.
It would be great if we could give you a straight forward answer to that question! But there really is no one answer fits all for every question like that. There are so many different products available and each has its own merits and faults. To know which is the right roof for you, you should have an expert roofing contractor come and examine your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they see, your roof design, the climate you live in and, of course, your budget.
Unless you’re a trained roofing contractor or professional, most roofing work shouldn’t be carried out yourself. Also keep in mind that most manufacturers of products used in the roof repair will not warranty those products unless a licensed professional carries out the work. The other thing to keep in mind is that working on a roof can be very dangerous, so is it really worth risking your health in order to save money?
