The MVPL holds so many memories for myself growing up as I used to live almost across the street from there and was my main place for escaping the house, a safe hangout and a quiet environment surrounded by knowledge. It was amazing to see the layout of this library overall stay the same besides expanding the children section and providing more electronic check out options in the main hall. I wish to visit this library much more often than I do now, but this holds a special place in my heart.

Wow. This is one of the nicest and quietest and cleanest local libraries I have been in the entire San Francisco Bay Area. Very well maintaiend facilities, and excellent choices of books, ebooks, and online resources. It is conveniently located in the heart of Mountain View downtown. Let the researcher and the scientist come out of you, and once you get hungry, walk to the Castro St, and tons of good food options you can get will overwhelm you. In a good way of course.

Pretty good library in the Bay area. ( -1 stars for homeless and smelly Bathrooms ) I have been to many libraries in NYC ( including ones at Columbia, NYU ), LA, SF( including ones at UCB) and this one is pretty good except for what I mentioned above. It's location is awesome and is situated right next to a park. I also like the fact that it's not pretentious and very functional. I have been to libraries which are hundreds of years old and their systems and amenities reflect that usually. This library has self checkout, which means you can scan and take books on your own. You can also drop off books in the weekend or holidays by using the drop off box which also scans and checks you out. I got a library card with 30 mins of work showing my lease and Id. I applied online in a form which took 2 mins to fill and the staff printed my card in 3 mins. The staff were super friendly as I was trying to do this all at a time with 12 mins left to closing time. Great collection of fiction and non fiction books. They also have Kpop and puzzles. The online website could definitely use a rework but hey at Columbia U where there were 16 libraries and I even worked temporarily in one and their systems are way more ancient. They are also piloting a book bot which goes around collecting library books on the main Street ( it was operated by a guy though ), I guess they are still testing this out. Plenty of seating and parking space.

Yes. Second floor. You need a library card, though.
Yes. There are 3 automatic machines that need no card. One at the parking lot, one inside library and one outside main door
Service dogs is accepted almost everywhere in Mendocino county some people don't know about service animals like ampm gas stations in small grocery stores they're scared of service dogs or any dogs and they don't allow any dogs in their establishments that's too bad if they have to be that way and I think that will mannered dogs go with you just like service dogs military K9 dogs that's what I'm talking about.max.
You can, but you can't do it online. You'll have to contact the people at the desk a coupke days prior to the return date
It's really easy to login online and you can renew books 2 or 3 times. Each time extends about a month from when you renew not from when they are due. Dvds renew for a week.
It's open, so does their website say.
Duolingo and Google Translate. Ask a friend for help.

Yes, but make sure you're not a second late, they are not exactly accommodating
Proof of residency. Any utility bill is good enough.
