Absolutely obsessed Basil! I love coming here and getting the sangria flights and the Gnocchi dinner. The staff is always so friendly and the environment is always buzzing. Worth it every time, even on the busy nights.

Loved the atmosphere and the live music! I was there for Sunday brunch. The mimosa flight was definitely worth it and is generous enough for 2! I went for the vegan options and would recommend the carrot pancakes. They have a great healthy taste yet are indulgent. Also, the music was fun & lively without being too loud to chat. Looking forward to going back and trying other dishes.

Having lived in the BG/Perrysburg area for 15 years, I had a long list of many favorite local restaurants I would regularly frequent. I recently moved out of the area, and now have to be intentional and strategic with my dining plans when I return to northwest Ohio for visits. Basil Pizza and Wine Bar is hands-down always on the short list. I moved 6 months ago, but every time I return to Basil it feels as if I never left. John and his staff welcome their guests with genuine warmth and smiles. Be it the food, ambiance, or service — my dining companions and I have never had a bad experience at Basil. The menu is always an excellent combination of perfected standards and creative seasonal dishes. For my recent visit, while it was hard to deviate from my go-to’s of the calamari and street corn toast we opted for the baked brie—a seasonal item. It was perfectly prepared with a wonderful combination of the brie, apricot jam, and crackers. We also enjoyed a classic pizza of pepperoni and sausage and topped off the meal with a strawberry shortcake I am really hoping becomes a regular menu item. While all of the wait staff are fabulous, my friends and I are always thrilled when we know Steven, who was our server for my most recent visit, will be taking care of us. We are grateful for the high standard he sets for superb service.

Great specialty pizzas and a unique vegan Sunday menu. Highly recommended. We stopped in for Sunday dinner because of the special vegan menu on Sunday evenings. It was really great! The pizza was fresh, hot, tasty and unique. The jalapeno black bean ravioli was a very wonderful dish. The crispy artichoke appetizer was the perfect prelude to our meal.
