Horrific customer service…I see I’m not the only one who has been hung up on!! I placed an order 2 days ago. The website specified it would be ready by the next day, yesterday, and that I would receive an email confirming when it was ready. They email never arrived. It is now a full 48 hours since I placed the order. I called to find out the status. The customer service representative was rude from the get go, did not attempt to apologize at all, simply was defensive about how busy they were for the weekend, and irritated, told me that I would be receiving an email when it was ready. No attempt at apology that it was not ready, no ability to tell me when it would be ready. This is an item that I truly needed yesterday and counted on the accuracy of the estimated pick up time. I suggested that perhaps they update the expected time for pickup on their website to reflect how busy and understaffed they are, at which point the female employee actually didn’t reply and hung up on me! I was not being rude, but I was expressing my concern over how much longer the order was taking to fill than what was being said on the website. I could not believe she hung up on me. I could clearly hear the click. I’m sure they are busy but WOW. So unbelievably rude and obviously these employees are not trained to be polite at all. The whole interaction made me feel gross. As much as I appreciate the discounts offered, it’s not worth it when they are both LATE and RUDE. I don’t know who’s managing but they need some additional training so they can train their employees better. UPDATE: about 2 minutes after I was hung up on, my entire order was cancelled. All 7 items, due to “not in stock”. Coincidence? No. She did not offer to check my order. Obviously she would have seen that information if she had looked. I believe she pulled my phone number from the phone call and immediately cancelled my order on purpose. Thanks BIg Lots for wasting my time and energy.

Every time I go into Big Lots...any Big Lots, I am always looking for the price of something. Not on the shelf and not on the item. When trying to find help, well everyone is short-handed. I understand with all going on that things are getting let go, but pricing should be done before shelving. The customer doesn't need to carry it to the checkout and have to get price and then of course not get it because it was more than expected. In turn, that causes extra products to have to be put back and again...short-handed problem. It needs to be handled for customers!!!

Awesome deals and a great variety. I'm always greeted with a smile and friendly atmosphere. Members of the staff are very courteous and knowledgeable of their store which is a great asset to customers. Definitely one of my faves. Big Lots see ya soon!!!
