What is to not like about this place: history , charm , culture. The staff and management are first rate . I travel a lot and this is one of the handful of places that feels like well home .

Excellent staff and a nice vintage inn, but I wish that's all I had to say. Upon entering my room, I noticed how hot the room was. Turns out the AC was broken and that it would be 30-60 days before the parts came in. A guest services rep informed me that they're notorious for having faulty air in the summer and faulty heat in the winter, and that it would be about a million dollar fix. They did provide me with a fan that got me through the night but a stuffy and restless night it was indeed. The following morning, the manager assured me that a window unit would be awaiting my arrival and indeed it was. Secondly but usually first in my lodging complaints, was that the nice inviting-looking king sized bed was hard as a rock! That alone as my premise to whether I ever again patronize a location or not...affirms the fact that I'll pass by this place next time. I highly recommend at least some sort of pillow top mattress with a little cushion. The restaurant breakfast is an additional fee which definitely makes the price to stay here not at all worth it.

No heat in my room. Loud noise from band until 1 am. Drunk people everywhere. Paper thin walls! Temps were in 20’s so freezing cold. Horrible room Bc I had my dogs

Lovely,historic building. The rooms are on the smaller size because of the age of the building, and the furniture has a few dings, dents and scratches but I guess that’s part of the “charm”. If you want quiet, get a room away from the stairs or you can hear everything all night/morning long. Nonetheless, it’s a great place to stay and the staff is very helpful.
