I had a great experience at Parkside. We went on a Saturday afternoon and saw people waiting outside the door to get in. I'm glad we didn't let this deter us because the wait was not long and they were seating people quickly and efficiently. Once seated, our waitress greeted us and she was friendly and attentive. I ordered a cheeseburger with romaine, tomato, onion, and cheese. French fries were my side. Let me start off by saying the French fries are delicious. There's no way you would have caught me sharing them after that first bite. The burger was also delicious. I'm pregnant so I had to order well done, I normally enjoy a medium rare. I wasn't expecting it to be great--boy, was I wrong. I thought I couldn't put my fries down, now I couldn't put down my burger. They did an excellent job and I hope to be back soon!

My family and I enjoyed Sunday brunch. We were worried that we would not be able to be seated because we didn't have a reservation but we did. I enjoyed a Bloody Mary and my mom tried their special peach Mason. I had the fried chicken breakfast bowl and it was delicious. The servers were very friendly and I believe I will be back.

Came here during restaurant week, and strangely enough the dishes we ate were not on their regular menu. Great taste though. We had fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese with crackers. A nice spice gave a kick to the appetizers, and the tomatoes had the perfect combination of tenderness and crispness. The schnitzel was a little more tough than I expected. I personally may be more inclined toward the Wiener schnitzel rather than a German schnitzel, which is what this was, so perhaps the texture was due to the type of meat. The desserts were slightly disappointing. My strawberry shortcake was really short of cake, I dare say. Either the cake already melted off somehow or there was no cake in it in the first place! The banana pudding was delicious but nothing to write home about. Vibe of the restaurant is casual and very comfortable. We went on a rainy day and I believe the air was not working, as they had several fans running in attempt to cool down the restaurant (it didn’t work).

The club sandwich was amazing! A friend had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and raved about it. The service was excellent. So many beer choices and local varieties. Not too pricey. Great environment. Love the location. We will definitely be back.

Amazing food...superb service...and the menu is for everyone...this place is one of the best in NC! Keep up thr great experience!
3 different streets to park on & if you get there early enough, there is parking lot of theirs across the street.
They have tables and chairs placed on the outside of the restaurant, but not like a patio. Not sure if it is shaded, but you can definitely eat outside.
