Started with the intention of a different place, but ended up here. Was not disappointed with our decision. For a small business, what a huge performance. The service was top notch, helpful, friendly, and attentive. The food was fine dining quality and beyond delicious. The prices are above average but for the quality and service, worth every bit of what you pay.

Went out tonight for a birthday, my grandma’s. She is a woman of incredibly refined tastes and has said this is her favourite restaurant in Deland. The cozy yet elegant atmosphere is inviting and the food does not disappoint. We started with escargot, then for our entrees we had the filet and the evans farm chicken. Absolutely wonderful! The chicken was moist and the flavours of the cheese compliment it perfectly. Staff were attentive and polite. Great place to visit for a nice dinner in Deland!

Excellent customer service. Excellent food. Worth the wait. The staff as well as the hostess make you feel welcomed. Our waitress was very knowledgeable on the dish ingredients and very attentive but not overwhelming. Very helpful. The manager as well very attentive and friendly. The chef at this restaurant is wonderful. I love the shrimp and grits. The rose wine was also a good choice. My husband loved his chicken roulade. Would definitely come here again. Very recommended.

It's a cute, elegant setup for the little hole in the wall that it is. The food was very good. The chef definitely surprises your taste buds with the variety of flavors they make work! We got the charcuterie board for app and it had very different flavors we loved together, minus the seafood sausage. I got the lamb for dinner and it was very good (a little salty and tasted more like a roast than lamb but still very good)! My husband got the boar and it was FANTASTIC. I'm not a beer or wine person so I was disappointed in the drink options but overall we decided it rated closer to 5 stars than 4 stars. We will be going back again and we definitely recommend it 👍

Thank you for your inquiry regarding Covid safety practices. At Cress Restaurant we continue to practice Covid-19 safety measures throughout daily operations. Our team members wear masks in both our dining room and our kitchen and we print single use dinner menus and wine lists for added safety. Sanitizer bottles are available for guest use as well as team members. Bathrooms are sanitized regularly as are patio tables and chairs as they are not covered with linen. We believe these standards meet and/or exceed current advised protocols and hope you feel safe when dining with us.

They only serve beer and wine. I don't recall if they have any seats at the bar.
As of August 29th, 2017, our hours of operation are limited to themed tasting dinners. Use the link to our upcoming dinners, the days we are open, and how to purchase tickets. We will return to regular dinner and lunch hours in the summer of 2019.
Cress serves a delicious array of eclectic cuisine. Hari & Jennefer currently do special events only, so you'd have to go to their FB to find out which events are available. I promise you every offering is scrumptious !
Cress only has 4 - 6 course themed tasting menus.
