Clean, extremely comfortable, nice retro blast from the past … I will definitely stay again! We read reviews and booked late night as we were driving through and needed to stop and rest…. Absolutely a “hidden gem” …. May come stay again just for the Nostalgia … great staff… great stay!

I travel for business in NC and stayed at Mother Earth Lodge for several nights. Love this place. Beautiful job resurrecting this down and out motel and keeping the mid century vibe. Excellent service, including daily maid service, which seems to be a thing of the past everywhere else. Clean, safe, convenient and very reasonably priced. Great down town area within walking distance to restaurants, bars, parks and shops. Good job Kinston creating this great down town destination! Already reserved for another upcoming stay

This place, the brewery, and some really good restaurants is making Kinston a destination rather than a town to bypass on the way to the beach. Their retro look is the bomb! Only stayed there one night but their attention to detail is amazing. There’s even blue water in the toilets just like grandmas house back in the 70s. Can’t wait to return in the summer for a dip in that pool and some putt putt. Included breakfast was better than expected since the virus, and they had the all important waffle maker hot and ready to go. They have a shuttle running to the brewery and bikes to rent for exploring the town. Will be back for more real soon. Great place to spend a weekend.

So glad we chose to stay at Mother Earth Motor Lodge. A perfect trip back to 1970s. Clean, comfortable beds that made no noise (squeaks), decor that popped and was bright and friendly. We loved the fun colors and arrived at night so the sign, pool and trees really stood up. Easy walking distance to food and nice walking areas to stretch your legs after a long day in the car. We didn't have time, but the mini golf, shuffleboard, ping-pong and pool and lounging were appealing to the eye and clean... if we had more time, we would have tried it all. While it says that Breakfast is Continental, it's the largest selection we've seen in a week. Hot waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, bagels, breads, juices, Kuerig Coffee, pastries, and more were available. Once again the area was clean, no messes and a fun place to sit and enjoy breakfast. Staff was extremely polite and were ready for us when we arrived and made checkout easy. We will go back for sure if we are in the area again.

I'm not sure we were there during the middle of the week. And my wife is taking care of all that but the price the other person quoted seems to be about right
