Rules are different since Covid, some DMVs are requiring appointments. Sometimes that's a disappointment, or inconvenience for us and we get huffy puffy. I've ran a business, and let me say...DMV isn't one I'd sign up for. Everyone's already stressed, they don't want to be there, but they are. Tensions run higher than they probably should, people get short, etc. Have some understanding when going here. They're just doing their job, as you're doing what you need to do to keep on keeping on. 💖 They didn't personally set the appointment rule, please have some consideration nowadays. I'm sure we could all use more of it.

Quick and painless! So fast here that they don't have seating. No numbers, no condescension. I had to register a vehicle and get a plate for it and was only there for about 20 minutes. The lady at the counter put my mind at ease that I had all the correct paperwork early on. She took care of the rest; I got a plate, tag, and as a "welcome to NC" greeting waived the $5 in cash you're supposed to have while the rest can be paid in card or check. One of the best DMV experiences I've had in my life.
