This is a very well maintained place. Love the cabin we stayed. Pretty much have everything you need for a few days staycation. Movie selections looks like from old times..hopefully soon there will be more family activities within the campsite.

Beautiful area. Long sites. 35 amp for all 5 sites, be conservative with the power use or you will be tripping the breaker and cutting power for everyone. Dont pull in to the RV camp sites there is no room to turn around, back in only.

Love this Marine Corp Base/campground. I love the fact how it's hidden away from the city part of Big Bear. Everyone that's there is either active duty, reserve, retired or dependents of a military beneficiary. Knowing ONLY Service members and there families are allowed to stay here is comforting and a sense of feeling safe. They have everything you need such as snow sleds, fishing poles and I believe fishing gear, tennis racks and tennis balls, kayaks, small fishing boats, movies, Hot showers and much more. Very kid friendly. They have a playground for the kids in the center of the base. There is also a nice hiking trail that is behind the base that goes pretty deep into the forest, nice sceneries. The road into the base is a dirt road with some pot holes but it's not to bad but anyone driving down that dirt road is only Military families staying there. Overall I really love this place, We have tented it and taken our RV also but have yet to stay in one of the cabins but have been inside and they are cozy, there is a cabin that has a jacuzzi tub so looking forward to booking a cabin soon. I wish they didn't book out months out, when we first stayed they only booked that month I believe so it was nice first come first serve kind of thing but now when I called to book they were booked up till April for Cabins.

This campsite was amazing! We absolutely loved the scenery and the accommodations. The staff at the campsite are very nice and polite and help you with whatever you may need to create a nice stay. Bathrooms are well maintained and showers are HOT and kept clean. They let you choose your campsite which is a bonus, but it's first come, first serve, so arrive early for the best site for your family. Its a great place to take a family for camping in Big Bear.
