This place is fantastic. They have a jam-packed menu full of American classics, and they serve breakfast all day and all night. If you find yourself with that group where someone asks "where do you want to eat," and the only response is , "I don't know/care," then go to the Midnight. There is something for everyone on the menu. Five of us went there, and we had Tammy as our waitress. She is the best; ask for her - no really, you should. She was friendly, helpful and steered me right toward the scratch-made mashed potatoes and gravy to go with my collard greens. The greens were tender, smoky and delicious. Everything we had was outstanding. Our orders include a Western omelet, a brunch burger, a full breakfast plate, a spaghetti dinner and a fried chicken plate. It all came to the table fresh, hot and super tasty. The atmosphere in the place is friendly with a bright and busy urban vibe. This is the place where you can talk and laugh out loud over a great meal. You should go - soon. You won't regret it.

Friendly service with delicious coffee! The Vegetable Egg White Omelette was very good. My husband had a burger which he liked it very much. The fries were under cooked. We like the atmosphere and will go back when visiting Charlotte.

Visiting from Kansas City and this is the BEST place we ate hands down!! The staff went out of their way to seat our party of 9, food was relatively quick and DELICIOUS!! I will admit I was skeptical when I saw the building.....but I saw a line of people waiting to get in.....and I see why!! VERY reasonable pricing.....and did I mention the food was AWESOME!!

My wife and I love diners. Moving to Charlotte we wanted to try the Midnight Diner uptown. We split some cheeseburger sliders before we went to the Mint museum and they were great. They were diner style, freshly made burgers with fresh French fries and our server Dave was awesome. He let us relax, didn’t hover and was charismatic and cool. Thanks Dave! The only caveat was the bathroom which I didn’t enter until the end was really dirty. I am glad I didn’t enter it until after I ate because I don’t think I would’ve eaten there with the bathroom that unclean. However, I believe because it’s the end of year that maybe it’s been busy and hopefully that will be fixed. So, want a diner feel without it being Waffle House? Go to midnight diner. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. Just make sure you check the restroom to make sure it’s clean for piece of mind.

Along with empty tables in between we also have dividers going from the top of the booth seat up to the ceiling. All employees temperature are checked when they arrive and are required to wear a mask. The restaurant is regularly disinfected with the same type of machine and disinfectants that are used for Novant Healthcare operating rooms.
Maybe 6 a table at the most no outside area
