Gabe is absolutely fantastic and we are so glad we chose to work with him. He is a true professional with an excellent style - he is thoughtful, thorough, patient, and there was no question he couldn't answer (and we asked plenty of them). Gabe carefully took us step-by-step through everything we needed and was always available to chat. We honestly just don't have enough good things to say about his services. Would 100% recommend him to friends and family.

Gabriel was from the beginning very down to earth, explained all the legal terms in easy to understand language. Which made my husband and I feel confident that we picked the correct estate planning lawyer to make sure our daughter would be taken care of and with the person we’d want her to be with. He gave great examples of different scenarios and which estate planned fit would fit our family. Seriously if you’re worried don’t be with Gabriel, he’ll take great care of you. He answered very email and questions I had. Made it easy to complete.

If you are looking for an estate planning attorney, you will find no better than Gabriel Katzner. Gabe prepared our Wills, Powers of Attorney, and all ancillary documents. We couldn't be more pleased with his expertise and desire to provide the highest level of service. He is a good listener and was exceptionally patient in responding to our many questions and concerns. Gabe worked quickly and was very flexible and sensitive to our needs, particularly during COVID. You will not be disappointed with the Katzner Law Group.

First of all, if you don’t have an estate plan, get one together because you never know what will happen and it is in the best interest of all of your loved ones to ensure you leave your hard earned assets to the right people. This review is a reflection of Gabe as a friend first then our estate planning attorney. We all prefer to work with those you trust so it was definitely our relationship with Gabe that built that trust first. Gabe is a person of integrity and it is apparent in all aspects of who he is and what he does. We first became acquainted with Gabe through our kids who attend the same school. Our families became friends quickly as we aligned well with our mindsets, enjoyed one another’s sense of humor and outlook on life. We were ecstatic to learn what he did as his profession as we needed to update our family trust that was established years ago in a different state. The entire process was so convenient as everything was done remotely through emails, e-notary and zoom calls. He was in constant communication and gently nudged when we needed reminders to get all that was required to him and his team....much appreciated when we have so much to juggle in every day life. He took the time to explain and clarify our questions to make sure we were on the same page at every turn. The cost of his services was reasonable for his attention to detail and professionalism. We now have the peace of mind that our estate plans are in order and highly recommend him to all within our circle who require his services.

Questions & Answers

Who would administer your estate after you pass away?

Katzner Law Group, PC | Apr 29, 2022

When you pass, there is a person who is given the responsibility to distribute your assets in line with your wishes. If you do not identify someone in your will, you risk the courts assigning the task to someone you might not prefer.

Who would inherit your assets after you pass away?

Katzner Law Group, PC | Apr 29, 2022

When you pass, a will helps clarify who will get what so that your loved ones are not left to guess and argue over how things get processed. A will also designates the executor of your estate, so there should be no arguments in court about who should be in charge.

What is a payable-on-death account?

Katzner Law Group, PC | Apr 29, 2022

Payable-on-death accounts may be used to allow assets held in the account to transfer outside of the probate process. It is one way of avoiding the probate process and allowing your heirs to inherit money immediately after you pass away.

What are the important estate planning decisions if I have minor children?

Katzner Law Group, PC | Apr 29, 2022

Putting aside guardianship, which we discuss extensively throughout the site, if you have minor children, one of the most important decisions you will have to make is when, how, and under what circumstances your children will receive the money you leave for them. If a parent dies without a trust in place, a judge would decide how much of your assets would go to them.

Your estate plan can be simple or complex based on your individual needs. This can include trusts, wills, the creation of a power of attorney and incapacity plan, the purchase of insurance, and a Medicaid plan.
