Very caring and professional therapists. I am a patient of Garett and Linda. I feel like they really want to help me get back on my feet faster.

Sharp refuses to let children accompany parents for rehab. If I was married, my unvaccinated husband could come with me. I could take my child, right now, to Legoland or Disneyland or anywhere else. Yet, this place uses the pandemic as an excuse to deny single parents healthcare. 1) denying healthcare is not an "inconvenience." It is a disgrace. So is bigotry. 2) please show me the CDC guidelines that state that children should not attend healthcare appointments. Waiting...Oh, that's right. They don't exist.

suffered a stroke back in 2015 did inpatient here for 3 months, had some of the best rehabilitation professionals i have ever worked with Liz the general, worked me hard everyday my OT sarah, made sure i was stretched out as much as possible and made sure i was tapped over all the care given by the staff was amazing, i was not a number , i continued in their CREP program and meet many others that were going through the same challenges i face daily in life now and stay in touch with all of them this is a very highly recommended location for anyone who is looking to have acute inpatient therapy or daily therapy. the staff is very attentive and they care they called after my discharge to wish me a happy birthday on my birthday!

My best friend was in this facility after being diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disease. The staff were remarkable, everyone was so polite, courteous, and professional. Simply outstanding.

Sharp rehab offers specialized programs for stroke, brain injury, spinal cord and other neuro musculoskeletal injuries.
Yes there is parking for disabled visitors. However the parking lot is frequently fairly full, especially recently -- they've been doing work on it & having sections of it closed off. You can also park in the parking structure for free if you have a disabled placard, though, and I believe there's many more accessible spots inside the structure
They have a number of different types of rehabs in this building. From cardiac care rehab to hand rehab and more but they are the two that I've used. The length of time does vary on what you have going on and what your medical plan covers or the amount that you can afford to spend. All my care has been covered. You can talk to your doctor I would think because he should give the referral so that your medical plan covers your expenses hopefully. And I'm sure if you call them they could give you a better idea of how long the program is want my frame of mind is it is depending upon the patient.
Hospitals have staff to arrange placement for a recovering patient no matter what their living arrangement is.
Sharp offers an extensive list of outpatient therapy programs and services to help patients increase functional abilities. These services may be offered at Sharp Memorial Rehabilitation Center or at our other rehabilitation centers located throughout San Diego County. In addition to therapy services, Sharp offers a variety of support activities and groups to help with reintegration into community living.
All programs and services are individualized with your treatment team. The team is led by a physicist (physician that specializes in rehabilitation) and includes nurses and physical, occupational, speech and occupational therapists. Other team members include social workers, psychologists, case managers and discharge planners. The patient and family are at the center of the team. Your team will meet at regular intervals to review your progress.
Length of stay is based on each individual's treatment goals and determined by the rehabilitation team. The rehabilitation treatment team continually monitors the patient's progress and works with the patient and family/caregiver in preparing for discharge. Currently, our average length of stay is approximately 19 days. Depending on type of injury, length of stay can range from 10 to 40 days.
Patients and families should understand that inpatient rehabilitation is different from an intensive care hospital setting. During the first 24 hours at an inpatient rehabilitation center, patients will receive an extensive assessment from various health care professionals to determine their physical, therapeutic and psychological needs. Following this assessment, and in collaboration with the patient and family, an aggressive plan of care is developed. Once the plan of care is outlined, patients are expected to work hard to participate in scheduled therapies and educational programs. Families and caregivers are also encouraged to participate. This ensures that the patient and family receive the most from their time spent in the rehabilitation program.
