Their communication is excellent and the pricing was very fair and straightforward. This is a situation we’re never really prepared for but having someone to help you through it is most appreciated.

We chose Legacy Funeral & Cremation based on the reviews on Yelp. They were quick to pick up our mom after the hospice nurse from Vitas Healthcare was nice enough to call our funeral home of choice. The two guys who arrive about an hour later were respectful and courteous. We especially liked that they backed the vehicle up to the front door so it wouldn't be as obvious that someone was being taken out on a gurnee. The only minor thing is I thought the cremation included a basic box-shaped urn the way it was described over the phone, but it was nothing more than a green plastic container.

Dealing with this family-owned business was truly a pleasant experience in the midst of a painful situation. The owner and his wife are pleasant and kind. The make-up artist is a blessing for loved ones left behind as she so accurately recreates the image of those they care for. The support given during funeral services is also wonderful, very respectful. And I can’t forget the gentleman who made the initial pick up as he also had a kindness you could feel. Highly highly recommend for when the unfortunate circumstance arises.
