Great trail! The perfect length and isent bad or difficult for beginners. Know that it is a dead end and you have to walk 2 miles back to get to the car so I would just consider that with time. Also ran into two dogs that were loose and had no owners. Other than that I loved the trail and it has great views.

I loved this trail so much. It has a wide variety of landscape and never got monotonous. There were sandy trails to rocky trails, meadows to farmland, forest to river bank, and even a fun swinging bridge towards the end. The slight elevation turned it into a good workout and I’ll definitely be back to explore.

This place is pretty cool. The first half is a rocky trail through a regrowing forest section that had previously been logged and then burned. Now, new saplings are everywhere but haven't gained enough height to provide much shade, as of summer 2019. The second half is a lot smoother and through more densely established forest. It follows and crosses over a creek with small cliff edged borders and rocky/sandy banks. You are able to dip your toes into it if you like. The trail passes a few fields, some cultivated, some fallow. Wild grasses and flowers grow. If you look around, and the season is right, you might see lots of butterflies, spiders, and the occasional deer. Passing that, the finale is a corridor through the trees. I thought it was nice. Updated photos from January 2021.

This is a nice, easy trail for when you need to feel lost in the woods for a bit but don't want to drive far. The trail is very rocky and uneven at times, so wear proper shoes. The swinging bridge is a fun, unique aspect of the trail.

Trails are very clear and marked, you stay on trails no problem.
Yes
About half of it, the first portion is not well shaded during the heat of the day. Once you get passed the first part it is well shaded. Then since it is down and back you have to go back through the same portion on the way out.
