I am writing this review to thank Semper Solaris on the high level of professionalism, knowledge, and caring we were shown by representative Mark Ivory. We were exploring options to install solar and were hesitant about what we were hearing. Mark was patient and informative and obviously knows his industry inside and out. He answered all of our concerns, and best of all he did not try to push us into making a quick decision. Thank you Mark and thank you Semper Solaris.

Overall TERRIBLE company! One owner was in the military and claims that he wants to do right for his customers but don’t be fooled as it’s all a sales pitch! I signed a $130k roofing, solar, battery contract after a year-end sales pitch in December. I was assured that our project would take priority, but they didn’t have our solar layout drawings until late February. We approved the layout right away and were informed that it would take a month to go through permitting. Meanwhile after expressing frustration for the roofing delays, our roofing project started March 24th. After a week our project was stalled because they couldn’t match our concrete tile. The subcontractors (yes, subcontractors!) left 25% of our roof exposed for a month. The roof wasn’t completed until mid-May, as they didn’t have the resources to fully complete the project and pass inspection. Back to the solar, in mid April I contacted our city permitting office to find the status of our solar permit, since no one in management would give me a status. I found out that the plans were rejected three times because the drafts-person kept making errors in circuit drawings. After requesting that they have THEIR electrician go over the circuit relocation Semper had proposed, I was horrified to find out that he would not recommend the plan as it would pose a FIRE HAZARD as our circuits would be overloaded. I’ve spoken to three different customer service “supervisors,” expressing my poor experience, and requesting that I speak to management or ownership to no avail. When signing the contract I had the salesperson put in the contract that if anything was different that was presented to me in cost that I would have the right to cancel. The $5k panel upgrade that was presented to alleviate the fire hazard triggered that clause. I’ve requested a cancellation of the solar and battery contract three weeks ago, and crickets, no one in customer service will return an email or call! The owners talk a good game in their million dollar infomercials, but have no desire to rectify their customers bad experiences…they fall awfully short of doing right for their customers!

BUYER BEWARE!!! Horrible experience on re-roofing project. After receiving multiple quotes from roofers, I decided to support a "veteran" company. Initially my information was "misplaced" so I did not receive a quote for almost 2 weeks (I had to call them back). I felt that the quote I received from Semper was in the ballpark of other quotes. So I agreed to sign the contract. My solar project in the meantime (from a DIFFERENT company, thank goodness!!) was approved. I called to find out the status of the roofing project with Semper Solaris. Sean asked me to call him...that's when I was notified that a "mistake" in the quote was made. So instead of the quoted price of $14,610 it was now going to be $27.000!!!! ALMOST DOUBLE!!! You see their commercials on TV, but it's not always as presented. BE CAUTIOUS if you are going to consider Semper Solaris...very misleading!! Poor or non-existent training for sales/estimators. Obviously, no oversight on reviewing new employee quotes BEFORE they are sent as a contract!!!

Tesla battery system has gone down 3 times in the few months we've had it. Scheduling repair and communication after install has been a nightmare. Started with our sales rep selling us 5 batteries for our home. The engineer came out to do our plans pre-install and said we could only fit 4. Okay no problem. Changed our contract to 4 batteries. The big install day arrives, they show up. Installers say there is only room for 3 batteries. The four installers sat at our house all day while they, me, my wife tried to get a hold of anyone at Semper Solaris to figure out what to do. Our sales person was nowhere to be found. End of day they sorted it out, but lost the day. Installers hustled the next day to install. But left with it not working. Came back after another install that weekend to finish. Worked for 24hrs, then it stopped. Waited over a week for someone to get back to us after numerous calls. To schedule repair. Lots of run-around with "someone will call you today" for days on end with no one calling to update. Finally get it up again. Dealt with getting the final permit (which was also a colossal communications failure), then right after inspection it stops working again. Tesla has been great with trying to work with us, and get Semper Solaris to do it's job. But it's been an uphill battle. The system has been down for almost two weeks now with no timeline for repair.
