Sand Pine Park is a 8.61 acre neighborhood park in Boca Raton. It is lighted and open from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM. In August of 2010 the park received 1.6 million dollars of renovations to the pavilions, restrooms, court, landscaping, and irrigation. A few months ago this park received more renovations including a new restroom building, pavilion, new field surface and lighting, renovated sports courts, a new playground with climbing structures and swings, outdoor fitness equipment, and repairs to the sidewalks. The park is home to a Boys and Girls Club and the athletic fields in this park are some of the busiest in the city. The last time I was in the park it was under construction but it has just reopened and now everything looks great. On the night I visited almost every part of the park was being enjoyed by children and adults. The tennis court, outdoor fitness equipment, playground, synthetic turf athletic field, and exercise paths were all busy. With all of the upgrades, this is now one of the nicest neighborhood parks in the city. Take the kids to play, exercise, have a cook out or picnic, or engage in sports. This park has it all and it looks the community is embracing it.

Park is becoming beautiful. All the city workers that take care of it are great

Matteis Park and Fields named after my Grandfather "Sal Matteis" whom moved his family to Boca Raton from the Northeast in 1957 after serving in the US Marine's in WW II. Sal also served as a Fireman and later Fire Marshall for the City of Boca Raton - Palm Beach Fire Department and creator of the Southeast Umpire and Referee's association for all the local sports league's and team's to be able to play from the Boca Jets, Delray Rocks, Boca High and many others including FAU. Sal also went onto open Sal's Sport Shop's many times gifting local underprivileged children whom he would give sneakers, cleats, balls, bats, helmets, pads and other sports gear to children if there parents could not afford so they could play on Boca Raton leagues and fields Sal along with his wife Angela "Ms. Sal" Matteis, his sons Sal "Skip" Matteis, Vincent Matteis and his daughter Toni Matteis as well as his first grandson Christian Matteis . The Matteis Family have contributed decades of donations and dedication to developing the City of Boca Raton's sports league's, teams and officiating on our beatiful fields and play grounds in Boca Raton. Sal also was the only trusted fireman to drive Old Betsey the city's original fire truck in the holiday parades. Sal and his family where recognized by the city after his passing with the dedication of Matteis Fields and park also know as Sand Pine Park for his loving, kind, generous and relentless dedication spanning decades beginning in the 60's, 70's, 80's and into the early 90's to the development of Boca Raton's Parks and Recreation that we know today. Nice place for families and kids. Plenty to do for everybody who likes the outdoors, from playground to tennis courts, to paddle board or handball courts to outside track and working out station. If you can't find anything to do here than just go back inside. It's all free too. The best thing about it.

Yes but you have to pickup after your dogs please
Yes you can. They are grills on the North side of the park, close to the tables and rest rooms
Just one. It's undersized. And frequently used by the adjacent Boy's and Girls club.
