The vet service website I visited was va.gov. they are very good in response to any inquiries via email.

Fantastic group of individuals. They resolved all my issues as fast as they could; remembering they require the proper paperwork and they're NOT the Veterans Administration. They just help us get through the VA maze. Imagine what the experience would be like with them.

Let me start by saying I don't fault them for following their rules and laws they must abide by. I have been in 8 to 10 times over the last few years and the customer service is golden. I didn't always hear what I wanted to but they were helpful filling out forms and explaining how to get better documentation when required. Thank you for your hard work.

Went there with a copy of my DD214. They told me that it had to be an 'original' or a certified copy. They made me fill out a request for a certified copy and told me they would fax it to the records center and I would have it in a 'couple of months'. After waiting a month, I went online and there is a form to ask 'how much of a wait to get your DD214?'. I filled it out and a week later I was emailed: "We do not have any record of you requesting a copy of your DD214". Note you can request it online, but you have to mail them a 'signature page'. I received mine in about 5 weeks. Now I have to go back and see if they will accept this copy which looks exactly the same as the one I originally brought to them.

My Dad is a retired Vet that, he is living off a pension from Raytheon .My Dad has been diagnose with Parkinson's .Can he be qualify for your service?
No sir . you must go to an approved caseworker and they must stamp and apporve after seeing either va and/or dd214 . If in. The L.A area i would go downtown to the bob hope center and they can further assist you
No medical or dental services are provided at this location. This is a County office set up to help veterans and their families with getting services they are entitled to.
Maybe they can give you information of where you can or connect you with the Peer Navigators from OC4Vets to assist you. But the VSO is mostly VA Benefits, Pension, and Education (I believe).
Yes, if possible make an appointment beforehand since they're only allowing a certain amount of people in the building due to Covid restrictions, but yes they can help with reevaluating claims or referring you to the proper people for it.
Yes
No you can go in as a walk-in but you're more than likely be there all day anyone without an appointment has to wait like the DMV
Yes 8am-4pm
Yes. If you have a service connected disability of any rating it is automatic. If you have a hardship and cannot pay or do not have a job you also qualify. Check with your local va hospital or va service office for more info.
Vets dont get ticket discounts for driving infractions. If you have a criminal charge brought against you, then let the judge know you are a veteran and you can be heard in vet court. This office is a vet court liaison where you could get information regarding vet court.
Yes
Like most VA offices its best to schedule and appointment if you can and follow through with it. This office is on the slow side and i have never seen it more than a 20 minute wait for a walk in, plus the staff here is good and they will notice you siting around to long. If you are looking for general information but want to walk in to talk to someone then I would go in the early morning as close to opening as you can (8am). The later it gets the more people begin to arrive for their appointments.
