Clean comfortable room, quiet but well-located, really good breakfast and excellent service from every staff member we encountered… Highly recommend! Will definitely come back for another visit. Had a blast touring the island in their rental cart and the loaner bikes were great for a ride to the beach and around downtown.

1st class service and experience! I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with flowers and balloons for her birthday. I made reservations to have them delivered to the hotel. The innkeepers (especially Dana) went above and beyond to set them up so when she opened the door was surprised to them! They helped make the moment super special!! Thank you again so much! It couldn't have been done without your help! Also there is underground parking garage which was very nice and everything you could want to do is walking distance from there. I could go on and on about the quiet and intimate feel to the hotel plus the breakfast and happy hour too, even bike rentals included but this review is long enough lol. This isn't just another regular hotel, it's an experience!

What a unique experience! We are business owners and needed a break, and when looking for local accommodations in SD chose the 1906 Lodge, and were so happy we did! The property is so close Coronado Beach that is infront of the hotel Del Coronado, so why would you book there at those prices for a small cramped room when you can enjoy luxury, and exceptional service from the staff (Innkeepers Susan and Lori) at the 1906! We went to Coronado Beach on 2 days, and the inn had all the beach equipment you would want for a nice relaxing day on the sand. There was underground parking which was also a HUGE bonus, where the Hotel Del was charging something like $50/night to park, and the 1906 parking was included in the room rate. Our daily breakfast was delivered to our entry patio table, where we enjoyed the mimosas and had a nice view of the main inner courtyard. I did notice they also had a electric golf cart and bikes for guests to use. Fantastic restaurants of all sorts were also a block away. One night we were so comfortable in the room with our fireplace and jacuzzi tub, we didn't want to leave and had dinner delivered by a local restaurant! The sereine, but over the top feel of this Inn far exeeded my expectations. Don't hesitate and book direct on their website for the best rates, and room selection, of which you may not get if you book through a 3rd party ie. booking.com, expedia etc...

Pia and Laurie provided excellent service. The room was exceptionally clean. The location is just perfect. They provide bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas. The breakfast was delicious everytime! We enjoyed happy hour and the snacks. The bed is very comfortable. The large showers, comfortable room and balcony provided a great place to rest. The staff is great but Pia and Laurie exceed high expectations. One of the best places to stay anywhere. We will be back someday. Thanks again for the great experience!
